Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui hasil penskalaan instrumen multiple intelligences (MI) pada tipe Thurstone dan Likert dengan pendekatan klasik, 2) mengetahui karakteristik instrument MI pada tipe Thurstone dan Likert pada data asli dan data yang diskalakan, 3) membandingkan karakteristik psikometrik pada kedua tipe data yang sudah diskalakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang pelaksanaannya terdiri dari empat bagian yang saling terkait, yaitu penelitian pengembangan instrumen, penskalaan pada data hasil ujicoba, analisis karakteristik psikometrik instrumen, dan perbandingan karakteristik psikometrik instrumen. Instrumen dikembangkan menggunakan tipe Thurstone dan Likert pada konstruk yang sama. Perbandingan karakteristik psikometrik kedua instrumen dilakukan secara diskriptif. Hasil penskalaan dengan metode paired comparison didapatkan urutan skor stimulus dari yang terendah yaitu: logika matematika, musik, linguistik, kinestetik, naturalis, visual, interpersonal, eksistensial dan intrapersonal. Penskalaan dengan metode summated rating dihasilkan skor terstandar dari yang rendah hingga tinggi pada tiap respons. Terdapat perubahan skor, varian, reliabilitas dan kesalahan baku pengukuran (SEM) dari data asli dengan data yang diskalakan. Koefisien reliabilitas dan SEM instrumen tipe Thurstone lebih rendah dibanding tipe Likert. The activity consisted of: developing instruments, processing the data scaling, analyzing the psychometric characteristics of the instruments, and comparing the psychometric characteristics of them. The instrument was developed using Thurstone and Likert types in the same constructs. The comparison of psychometric characteristics of two types of data was analyzed by descriptive statistic. The result of scaling using paired comparison method are the sequential scores from a low to high on mathematical-logical, musical, linguistic, kinesthetic, natural, visual, interpersonal, existential and intrapersonal inteligence. The scaling using summated rating produce scores that vary in each response. There are changes of variants and standard error of measurement (SEM) after transformed data. Abstrak. Student well-being pada anak usia Sekolah Dasar di Indonesia belum banyak dikaji, demikian pula usaha untuk mengembangkan indikator yang relevan untuk mengungkap wellbeing anak di sekolah belum banyak dilakukan. Di sisi lain, alat ukur untuk mengetahui well-being siswa sangat dibutuhkan seiring dengan meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap well-being siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen pengukuran student well-being dalam konteks Sekolah Dasar (SD). Skala yang dikembangkan didasarkan pada tinjauan penelitian well-being pada anak yang dilakukan oleh Pollard dan Lee dan disesuaikan dengan konteks sekolah yang mengacu pada pendekatan kesejahteraan psikologis dari Ryff dan Keyes. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyusun tiga skala paralel. Setiap skala yang disusun ini diujikan kepada 200 responden, sehingga total responden adalah 600 siswa. Hasil analisis terhadap ketiga skala dijadikan dasar untuk menyusun satu skala kompilasi. Skala kompilasi ini kemudian diujikan kepada 215 responden. Hasil analisis terhadap skala kompilasi menunjukkan bahwa 39 aitem yang disusun mempunyai properti psikometris yang memuaskan jika ditilik dari koefisien reliabilitas, daya beda aitem, dan validitas isi, sedangkan secara struktural, struktur faktornya masih perlu diperbaiki. Accordingly, the effort of developing relevant indicators for revealing student well-being has not been done too. Along with the increase of public awareness of student well-being at school, appropriate tools to measure it is greatly needed. This study aimed to develop an instrument for measuring student well-being in elementary school. The scale was based on the review of a research on children well-being by Pollard and Lee and was adapted for school context using the psychological well-being approach suggested by Ryff and Keyes. This study had three parallel scales, each of which was tested on 200 respondents. Accordingly, the study involved 600 respondents. The results of the analysis of the scales were used as basis for preparing a compilation scale. It was then tested on 215 respondents. The results of the analysis of it showed that 39 items composed had satisfying psychometric properties, i.e. the reliability coefficient, item discrimination index, and content validity. However the structural factor still needed to be improved.
Karakteristik butir dan subtes dari Tes Potensi Akademik (TPA) versi 07A diteliti berdasarkan data jawaban 198 pelamar Program Magister Psikologi UGM tahun 2007, sementara validitas prediksi tes dianalisis berdasarkan data jawaban 80 mahasiswa yang diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa butir-butir subtes verbal, kuantitatif, dan penalaran memiliki tingkat kesulitan sedang, indeks daya beda sangat baik, dan distraktor berfungsi dengan baik. Semua skor subtes memiliki koefisien reliabilitas yang sangat tinggi, demikian juga skor TPA. Namun, analisis validitas skor TPA kurang dapat memprediksi IPK semester pertama. The big five personality traits are the best acknowledged and most commonly used model in psychology. Therefore, many personality scales are developed based on this personality model. IPIP-BFM-50 is one of the open-source scales measuring big five personality that is widely used by the world researchers. This study aimed to adapt IPIP-BFM-50 into Indonesian and evaluate its psychometric properties. Adaptation was done by following the guidelines of the International Test Commission (ITC). The result shows that IPIP-BFM-50 Indonesia has Aiken's V index ranging from 0.71 - 0.98. Alpha reliability with n = 502 ranges from 0.762 (agreeableness) to 0.862 (emotional stability). Factor analysis shows that the items are well-grouped according to their dimensions with loading factor ranging from 0.34 to 0.75 on the factors measured. Thus, IPIP-BFM-50 Indonesia has satisfactory psychometric properties and can be used to measure Big five personality.
The purpose of this research is to construct personality scale from Jung and Myers-Briggs personality type. Basic concept of personality type is human has four dimensional aspects. The dimensional consists of two personality type which is contrary. There are extrovert-introvert, sensing-intuition, thinking-feeling and judging-perceiving. Each human has this two contrary personality. But, one is dominant. Four combination of dominant personality aspect will make a personality type. The personality type can be used for student strategic learning, teacher teaching strategy, psychological counseling, identification of potential and recommendation for higher education program. Item format used question with two answers (a and b). Research subject was about 250 highs school students. There were 146 of 240 items which passed through selection. The final format scale uses 60 items which presents four dimensional aspects. Face, logic and construct validity were used in research. There were no correlations among four dimensional aspects of personality type. This shown good construct (discriminant) validity. Test retest reliability coefficient with one day interval was 0,91 and 0,81 for one week interval. The Scale can be used both for research and practice in psychology.
