Purple nutsedge (Cyperus rotundus L.) is one of the important weeds in the world because of its ability to suppress the production of crops and difficult to control. C. rotundus residues can suppress the growth of others weeds. The experiments 2-furanmethanol; 1,4-benzenediol; 2-methoxy-4-vinylphenol; phenol, 2,6-dimethoxy; syringic acid; dan 3-hydroxybenzoic acid. Uji perkecambahan menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak teki dari aksesi berbeda dengan konsentrasi berbeda mempunyai aktivitas penghambatan terhadap perkecambahan B. alata dengan tingkat penghambatan yang sama.

Prabowo, S.M. • S.A. Dewi Ekstrak daun bunga pukul empat dan daun pagoda sebagai tanaman antivirus untuk mengendalikan penyakit keriting pada cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.) The leaves extract of four o'clock flower and pagoda as antivirus plants to control curl disease on cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) Abstract. Many chili farmers use chemical pesticides as the main choice for controlling curly diseases. This study aimed to redundant the potential of leaves extracts: four o'clock flower and pagodas, in controlling chili disease caused by viruses. This research was carried out in the endemic area of curly disease in red chili , Sukoharjo Districts. This research was carried out from April to June 2018. The material used plants as organic pesticides: leaves of four o'clock flowers and pagodas. Tools are used: blenders, sprayers, jerry cans, basins and stationery. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with five treatments of leaf extracts application. There were without organic pesticides application, leaves of four o'clock flower with concentration 50 mL/L; leaves of four o'clock flower with concentration 100 mL/L; leaves of pagoda flower with concentration 50 mL/L; and leaves of pagoda flower with concentration 100 mL/L. Each treatment plot replicated three times. The resultsshowed that leaves extract of four o'clock flower and pagoda gave lower disease incidence and disease severity than without organic pesticide, so yield of plants are higher. the best yield, about 255 g, is given by leaf extract of four o'clock flower at the dose of 100 mL/L.
Cayenne pepper is one type of vegetables that have high economic value. Cayenne pepper as one of the many vegetable commodities cultivated by farmers in Indonesia because it has a high selling price. This study aims to analyze the effect of microbes by using EM4 on chili plants and assess the dose and time of EM4 application that is effective against the growth of cayenne pepper plant. The research method used was experiment, that is factorial experiment by using Randomized Complete Random Design (RAL) design with two treatment factors, EM4 dose (D) : D1= 5 ml/L, D2 = 10 5 ml/L, D3 = 20 ml/L and EM4 (T) time: T1= 5 HT, T2 = 10 HST, T3= 15 HST and. In total there are 10 treatment combinations with one control treatment (D0T0), with each treatment 3 plants and 3 replications, so there are 90 plants. The results showed that EM4 dosage with 15 days application time was the best combination of treatment for plant height, plant biomass and root length.
Weed is a plant pest organism whose existence is very detrimental to the production of cultivated plants. Weeds and major plants compete to obtain nutrients, sunlight, and water so that their availability is limited to the main plants. Weed abundance in a cultivated land is inseparable from the presence of weed seed banks in the soil. This study aims to identify weed bank seeds in chili cultivation in Tandon Hamlet, Selogiri Subdistrict, Wonogiri Regency and find out the right weeding frequency to get the highest productivity of cayenne pepper. Identification of local weed bank seed by taking soil samples at four different depths, a) 0-5 cm depth; b) 5-10 cm depth; c) 10-15 cm depth; and d) a depth of 15-20 cm. The variables observed included weed frequency, weed density, and summed dominance ratio (SDR). The frequency of weeding of cayenne plants, using a randomized completely block design (RCBD) with one treatment factor, namely weeding frequency (without weeding; 1 weeding at 2 weeks after planting (MST); 2 times weeding at 2 MST and 4 MST; 3 times weeding at 2 MST, 4 MST, and 6 MST; 4 times weeding at 2 MST, 4 MST, 6 MST, and 8 MST). The results showed that the highest weed seed bank density was found in the depth of soil 0-5 cm and 5-10 cm. While the frequency of weeding shows the frequency of 3 times weeding gives the best results on the growth and production of cayenne
