The integration of character education in Student Development lecture (a descriptive study in the Faculty of Education, University of Siliwangi). Character education is an effort to improve the quality of the learning process and learning results that lead to the formation of learners' characters emphasizing exemplary, habituation, and the creation of a conducive environment. Instilling the values of characters in the lecture on Student Development can be done by putting a list of character values that are already listed on the syllabus into lesson plans and developing learning processes that integrate the values into appropriate behavior. It also can be done by assisting students who find it difficult to integrate values and to demonstrate expected behavior. Therefore, students are expected to integrate the values into the behavior of everyday life through a learning process, both in the classroom and outside the classroom. This study aimed at determining the "integration of character education in the lectures on Student Development". The approach used was contextual learning which enabled lecturers to motivate students to relate the student development with the knowledge of everyday life. The population were all lecturers lecturing Student Development classes in the Faculty of Teaching and Education, University of Siliwangi.
This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of gourami cultivators in Sindangkasih Village, Sindangkasih District, Ciamis Regency, and to understand the benefits of circular ponds as technology in gourami cultivation to increase the quality and quantity of gourami production. The method of carrying out activities through several stages, namely: Preparation & coordination; Implementation; Monitoring and evaluation. The implementation stage begins by providing counselling regarding the cultivation of gourami in circular ponds, followed by the provision of circular ponds as another option for cultivation so that the cultivators do not experience many losses. As a result of the activity, the cultivators switched to circular ponds. Hence, water quality is more controlled, stocking density, more efficient and effective feeding, there are no dead spots in circular ponds so that fish is always moving. Dirt is not concentrated in one point and, pests can be tackled faster because water is controlled, and pests are quickly controlled, the mortality rate is low. As a result, the maximum yield of gourami fish is within four months. The circular ponds are different from conventional ponds, where water conditions are not optimally controlled so that pests cannot be predicted and are slow in pest management so that the mortality rate is high.
Adversity Quotient of Mathematics Education Students and Its Correlation with Their Grade Point AverageAbstractThe purpose of this research was to find out the 2015 adversity quotient of mathematics education students in academic year 2015 and find out whether there was link between Adversity quotient and the 2015 Grade Point Average (GPA) of this students or not. This research was descriptive correlative research. Using a correlational method which aims to investigate to what extent variations on one variable are related to the other variables. Based on the results of research data analysis, the level of Adversity quotient students majoring in mathematics education FKIP Siliwangi University class of 2015 in general is in the category of moderate AQ (camper). More precisely 66% of students have moderate AQ, and generally have a very satisfying GPA. One student has a GPA with a predicate of praise and has a high AQ (climber), one student has IPK with the title of praise but the AQ is in the transition category from quitter to camper, 14 students have GPA with no predicate but the AQ is camper, and two students have IPK with no predicate but the AQ is in the transition category from camper to climber. There is a significant relationship between Adversity quotient and Grade Point Average.
Disasters that often occur in Indonesia have a serious impact on all communities. Disaster awareness, from mitigation to rehabilitation, is one of the important aspects to reduce the impact of disasters. This awareness needs to be instilled early on in early childhood, but the most important thing that needs to be known is the insight about the disaster in early childhood educators themselves. Early childhood educators can consist of men and women who have different attitudes, roles, responsibilities, functions, rights, and behaviors. This study aims as a basic assessment to find out the different awareness of disaster awareness in early childhood educators based on gender. The method of data analysis was conducted in this study using SPSS version 12.00 program facilities and descriptive data analysis using interviews will be reduced, which are categorized into various aspects, then coupled with the results of an open questionnaire. The analysis technique of the U-Mann Whitney test shows a score of p> 0, 05 which means there is no difference in the awareness of disaster-based awareness of gender.
