This article studies the issue of gender sensitivity in Elementary School teacher relations with gender equitable education in Surakarta. Since the ratification of CEDAW Convention, State has obligation to provide protection to Indonesian citizens, specifical women in all aspects of life, including the education. The role of teachers as educators is the main thing in the embodiment of gender equitable education that began at the school. This research finds that the understanding of gender concepts from informants varies greatly, but it all comes down to differences between men and women who are his base is merely a biological concept. This concept is actually reinforced gender stereotypes. But they have to apply gender equitable education in the classroom, with the understanding that as a teacher they are not entitled to differentiate between boys and girls. Because understanding the concept of gender that is not comprehensive, the gender fair education applications limited only to the problem of equality of treatment for boys and girls.
<p><em>Definitions and attributes of poverty has been too much attached to the economic aspects, especially measured by the level of income per capita, whereas the root of poverty is lack of access for poor people to participate in determining their own destiny in the decision making process for the purpose of policy formulation in various fields of life. Poverty should also include a lack of understanding and awareness of the law, mechanisms of assistance and legal assistance and access to the political process in decision making. If the poor are involved, then they will get p</em><em>rotection of</em><em> law. This is where the view on poverty from a legal perspective is becoming increasingly important. Poverty experienced by most women in Indonesia, especially women living in rural areas so that poverty limits the capacity of women to access justice. Poor access to justice is then further leads to further women trapped in poverty. Various studies and reports have revealed various obstacles that women face in accessing justice. The main obstacle is the general lack of awareness and understanding of their legal rights. To overcome these obstacles, one of the strategies to improve women's access to justice is legal empowerment or the empowerment law. In general, legal empowerment or the empowerment law is an effort aimed at strengthening the marginalized people, including in this case is a group of women, in order to improve their control over their lives, by making use of legal resources in the community and development activities related and not solely relying on legal institutions (formal). Gencarnya serangan media sosial dalam kehidupan manusia dewasa ini yang saat ini sungguh tidak bisa dielakkan. Berbagai persoalan dan masalah timbul seiring dengan penggunaan media sosial di masyarakat. Banyak pro dan kontra terkait dengan munculnya berbagai dampak digunakannya media sosial. Kasus-kasus pornografi, penculikan, bahkan terorisme, bullying dan body shaming di media sosial turut ditengarai karena tidak bijaknya para pengguna media sosial, khususnya para remaja. Artikel ini merupakan hasil dari program pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Riset Group Habitus dengan Forum Anak Surakarta. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memeberikan pemahaman atau literasi kepada remaja dan anak terkait penggunaan media sosial sehat. Remaja sebagai pengguna media sosial yang paling aktif oleh karenanya perlu dibekali dengan berbagai pemahaman yang positif terkait bagaimana penggunaan media sosial yang sehat. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan memberikan penyuluhan berupa ceramah dan diskusi. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan media sosial saat ini memang sudah menjadi kesatuan bagi anak khususnya dalam Forum Anak Kota Surakarta. Dalam kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwasannya anak dalam kesehariannya banyak menggunakan waktunya untuk menggunakan media sosial. Klitih/Nglitih comes from the Javanese language, which means looking for activities in your spare time. Meanwhile, "Klitih/Nglitih" in the context of juvenile delinquency means travelling around using a motorcycle that a group of students has carried out. This study aims to explain the background of the "Klitih" that often occurs in Yogyakarta and the pattern of interaction in the "Klitih" group. This qualitative research uses a case study in the "Klitih" group in Yogyakarta. Based on the research that has been done, it is found that revenge and showing off are the backgrounds for "Klitih", which often occurs in Yogyakarta. The recruitment process from members to former members becomes a pattern of interaction repeatedly appearing in the "Klitih" group.
