Masela adalah sebuah pulau kecil namun membawa isu besar dan global. Pulau Masela di bibir perbatasan Negara memiliki laut yang luas dan dominan serta kaya sumberdaya alam yang kini dikenal dengan nama ladang abadi Blok Masela. Nama Blok Masela di Rahim kosmos pulau Masela seolah menggemparkan dunia dan membuatnya menjadi incaran dunia. Laut bagian Timur pulau Masela di mana Blok Masela berada, menempati posisi geostrategis dan geopolitik Negara karena terletak di Timur perbatasan Negara Indonesia dengan negara tetangga Australia. Meskipun demikian, masyarakat Pulau Masela di mana Blok Masela itu berada masih dililit oleh lingkaran kemiskinan yang cukup berat. Bahkan, masyarakat pulau Masela dan sekitarnya di Kabupaten Maluku Barat Daya (MBD) dan Maluku Tenggara Barat (MTB) terus dilupakan dan ditinggalkan oleh negara di saat Negara begitu sibuk melakukan transaksi pengerjaan Blok Masela. Realitas tersebut merupakan sebuah ironi yang perlu dipecahkan secara akademis melalui tahap penelitian lapangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan diskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, kemiskinan masyarakat Pulau Masela sebagai masyarakat pulau kecil adalah khas berkarakter kemiskinan pulau-pulau kecil yang dideterminasi oleh kondisi kewilayahan, kurangnya akses perhubungan, kurangnya akses pembangunan dan terbatasnya kapasitas sumberdaya manusia, kurang (kecil)nya alokasi dana pembangunan nasional yang diberikan kepada Pemerintah Daerah setempat untuk mengurus pembangunan pulau-pulau kecil dan terisolasi di bibir pebatasan yang cukup sulit kondisi geografisnya dan mahal biayanya bila dibandingan dengan alokasi dana yang diberikan kepada wilayah daratan yang cukup mudah. Factor determinan berikutnya adalah kebijakan pembangunan nasional yang belum pro pada pembangunan masyarakat pulau-pulau kecil. Langgkah pertama yang harus dilakukan dalam menanggulani atau mengatasi kemiskinan masyarakat di pulau kecil Masela, adalah penanganan struktur kemiskinan yang melilit dan menguasai mereka dalam sebuah lingkaran setan kemiskinan.
The nuclear family has an important meaning in modern society. In Hukurila, South Leitimur District, Ambon City, generally families live a modern lifestyle, in which the relationships between parents and children are no longer carried out properly. This can be seen from the reduced parental supervision of their children at home. Parents are busy with various activities and conversely the children are also busy with their own activities. The aim of this research is to find out and explain the forms of changes in the relationship between parents and children in modern families during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is a qualitative research method by means of in-depth interviews and observations and uses secondary and primary data sources. This study found changes in the relationship between parents and children, namely the reduced parental supervision of children, the more distant the relationship between parents and children due to the social environment and millennial subculture and parents are seen as passing on only a few values ??of life to their children.
Sasi is a belief system, rules, and rituals that involve temporary prohibitions on the use of specific resources or areas. Social, economic-political, and ecological pressures are the background for the dynamics of Sasi. This study aimed to explain the impact of the Attitudes of the Coastal Community on Sasi Management in Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency. This research used a descriptive qualitative method, and it was conducted in the Leihitu sub-district, Central Maluku district. The research location was selected by purposive sampling. The results showed that most of the coastal communities in the Leihitu sub-district accepted/supported Sasi's implementation. The knowledge about Sasi and communication affects the coast in the Leihitu sub-district, Central Maluku District. At the same time, the closing of the Sasi distinguishes the implementation of Sasi. The opening of the Sasi is carried out by traditional, religious, or a combination. The monitoring, accountability, and enforcement mechanisms carried out in traditional coastal resource management are generally carried out within the community, with the community observing the violations that occur.
