This study aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) of Eleventh-grade students on motion system material in SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. The research method used was Quasi-Experimental with the research design of Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling method used was Saturated Sampling Techniques. The instruments of data collection are HOTS test questions in the form of multiple choices with five answer choices in twenty-five questions. Observation instrument of learning implementation used Checklist with twelve observation items. The response instruments of students use questionnaires with a Likert scale. HOTS data were tested using the Mann-Whitney test, and then the learning implementation data and students’ response data were analyzed descriptively. This data processing uses SPSS twenty-three. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the sig value is 0.00 (sig <0.05), which shows an effect studied was significant. The implementation of learning has Good Category, while the response of students has very good and good categories of the two types of the response of students measured. Based on the hypothesis test results can be concluded that the PBL’s model can significantly influence higher-order thinking skills of Eleventh-grade students on motion system material in SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara.
The objective of this research is to describe the practice of mindful leadership at the IABS-Plum Village Buddhist Monastery Upper Hamlet, France, looking at the abbot's pattern and role in developing and managing the Institute of Advanced Buddhist Studies and the monastery. This research uses the approach of qualitative research with the method of a single case study. The research data collection uses the techniques of observation, interview, and documentation study. The research procedure used in this research consists of several research steps utilizing the case study method of Robert K. Yin: research planning, research design, research preparation, research data collection, research data analysis, and doing the research report. The research analysis is done by pattern matching. The data validity testing through data source triangulation and technique triangulation. The result of this research shows that mindful leadership can develop the ability to develop compassion and attention without judgment. The study shows that a leader has compassion towards global issues and can accept with openness. A leader who practices mindfulness for a long time can direct towards openness of one's self to others. The leader can lead with compassion and care and also understand hi members well. The ability to develop this compassion shows the ability to listen without judgment, not blame, and not discriminate.
Many teachers experience difficulties in carrying out teaching-learning activities on the subjects they are teaching. These difficulties can be caused by the characteristics of the subjects taught so that it is difficult for the teacher to understand on those subjects or difficulties in methodological technical aspects so that the instructional material is poorly understood by the students. Clinical supervision by the school supervisor to the teacher is one of the efforts to help the teacher to overcome this problem. This research is intended to provide an overview of the importance of clinical supervision as an alternative solution for teachers and supervisors to enhance and improve the quality of the teaching-learning process, without having to be limited to space and time. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The informants in this study were three supervisors and three teachers. Data collection techniques used for this research are interviews, observation and study of digital documentation. Result of the research show that management and supervision for teacher conducted by supervisor through web-based clinical supervision can be effectively implemented, since the supervisor can provide inputs and solutions for every problem to enhance the teaching-learning process. Those supervision can contribute to the achievement of the objective of the education.
Vocational school has play important roles in providing skillful employer for business and industry in most region of the world. Therefore, most of government had specific attention and budget allocated to ensure that the quality of the graduates will meets the requirements of the business and industry. This paper examines the effectiveness of an aid programs for the development of vocational schools. This research use qualitative approach and CIPP evaluation model. The data collection conducted through observation, interview, desk and documents review. By evaluating the implementation of this program we found some evidence that the program was able to open more access to the community and students, where one selected referral vocational school had to have three vocational schools located nearby to become their alliance school. Referral Vocational Schools receive assistance for the development of facilities and infrastructure that can also be utilized by alliance schools. This has been proven to improve the competence of Referral Vocational Schools and alliance schools in providing education services, which in turn has led to greater public trust in the capacity of vocational schools to become educational institution for their children.
