Chicken meat agroindustry is one of the industries that contribute to environmental impacts. The environmental impacts are due to the use of resources, energy, and waste along the chicken meat chain. This study aimed to evaluate the environmental impacts along the life cycle of the chicken meat chain from cradle-to-grave using a life cycle assessment (LCA) approach. The data inventory consisted of inputs and outputs from five sub-systems: feed production, broiler production on the farm, carcass production at the slaughterhouse, supplier distribution, and consumer use. The impact categories included global warming, acidification, and eutrophication. The process of impact calculation used the CML-IA (Centre of Environmental Science of Leiden University Impact Assessment) baseline method on the SimaPro software. The results showed that consuming 1 kg of fried chicken resulted in a global warming impact of 5.86 kg CO 2 eq, acidification of 38.3 g SO 2 eq, and eutrophication of 24.1 g PO 4 3eq. Feed production, litter, and energy usage were the most significant contributors to the environmental impacts. Improvement scenarios in reducing environmental impacts included reducing crude protein in feed, composting litter, installing inverters on refrigeration compressors, and electrical energy efficiency. The present study indicated the importance of environmental impact assessment on the entire chicken meat chain to improve environmental performance in the Indonesian chicken agroindustry.
Community Service is done in the year 2017 period 2 at SMP Swasta Taman Siswa Kisaran, with the theme "Building Database Using Microsoft Access 2007". Given the very rapid technological developments, the knowledge of the database and how to build it is appropriate for teachers to know and able to make it, especially in SMP Swasta Taman Siswa Kisaran. This activity aims, in addition to the interest of lecturers with the affairs of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, but also equip teachers and students about the knowledge and techniques of building the database. Software used is Microsoft Access 2007. Benefits that can be taken after this activity is done, apart from the needs of lecturers to get functional positions, for teachers and students of course can build database related to their work, for example database for teacher data and student data in the school. This activity is only limited to the knowledge of the database and how / step / manufacturing techniques only. For the design of the application as a bridge of input, process, and output data, it is necessary to do further service in the future. Kegiatan ini bertujuan, selain kepentingan dosen dengan urusan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, namun juga membekali guru-guru dan siswa tentang pengetahuan dan teknik membangun database. Software yang digunakan adalah Microsoft Access 2007. Manfaat yang dapat diambil setelah kegiatan ini dilakukan adalah, selain dari kebutuhan dosen untuk mendapat jabatan fungsional, untuk guru dan siswa tentunya dapat membangun database yang berhubungan dengan pekerjaan mereka, contohnya database untuk data guru dan data siswa di sekolah tersebut. Kegiatan ini hanya sebatas pengetahuan tentang database dan bagaimana cara/langkah/teknik pembuatannya saja. Untuk rancangan aplikasi sebagai jembatan input, proses, dan output data, maka perlu dilakukan pengabdian selanjutnya dikemudian hari. The purpose of this study was to find out how the application of the blended learning learning process in students' reasoning and problem solving abilities. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. Where the operations in this study are translated into 4 stages in the form of a cycle, namely the planning, action, observation and reflection stages. The subjects in this study were students of STMIK Royal Kisaran and the object in this study was the students' reasoning and problem solving abilities using the blended learning method. The research instruments in collecting data were initial tests, learning outcomes tests, interviews and observations. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the total score obtained from the implementation of learning in cycle 1 in the class was categorized as less successful with an average score of 2.25. The total score obtained in cycle 2 was categorized as less successful with an average score of 2.75. The total score obtained from the implementation of learning in cycle 3 is categorized as successful with an average score of 3.5. Thus, in cycle 3 the implementation of learning is categorized as successful. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Dimana operasional dalam penelitian ini dijabarkan menjadi empat tahap yang berupa siklus yaitu tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa STMIK Royal Kisaran dan objek dalam penelitian ini kemampuan penalaran dan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa menggunakan metode blended learning. Instrumen penelitian dalam mengumpulkan data adalah tes awal, tes hasil belajar, wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh Jumlah skor yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan Pembelajaran pada siklus 1 di kelas dikategorikan kurang berhasil dengan rata-rata skor 2,25. Jumlah skor yang diperoleh pada siklus 2 dikategorikan kurang berhasil dengan rata-rata skor 2,75. Jumlah skor yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan Pembelajaran pada siklus 3 dikategorikan berhasil dengan rata-rata skor 3,5. Dengan demikian pada siklus 3 pelaksanaan pembelajaran dikategorikan berhasil.Kata kunci: Blended Learning; kemampuan penalaran; kemampuan pemecahan masalah
Organic fertilizers are fertilizers consisting of living things, some of which come from the weathering of plant, animal and human remains. Organic fertilizers can be in solid or liquid form. At the Meranti Village Unit Cooperative (KUD) which is the place of business for selling organic fertilizer in Meranti District, Asahan Regency. In the absence of a system that regulates the problem of supplying organic fertilizers, there are still many shortcomings in providing information on organic fertilizers. For organic fertilizer inventory data, it still uses a manual recording system. Therefore, in overcoming this inventory problem, a strategy and system implementation using the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method is used. EOQ is a calculation in inventory management that aims to determine the most economical number of orders by minimizing the cost of ordering goods and the cost of storing goods. EOQ is also supported by the ROP (Reorder Point) method. In this ROP method, we can calculate when the company places an order for goods again. The purpose of this research is to make it easier for the KUD to be more effective and efficient in recording organic fertilizer supplies and minimize the error rate manually when registering. Abstrak: Pupuk organik adalah pupuk yang terdiri dari makhluk hidup yang sebagian berasal dari pelapukan sisa-sisa tumbuhan, hewan dan manusia. Pupuk organik dapat berbentuk padat atau cair. Pada Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) Meranti yang menjadi tempat usaha penjualan pupuk organik di Kecamatan Meranti Kabupaten Asahan. Dengan belum adanya sistem yang mengatur masalah persediaan pupuk organik, maka masih banyak kekurangan dalam penyediaan informasi pupuk organik. Untuk data persediaan pupuk organik masih menggunakan sistem pencatatan manual saja. Oleh karena itu, dalam mengatasi masalah persediaan ini digunakan strategi dan penerapan sistem menggunakan Metode EOQ (Economic Order Quantity). EOQ merupakan perhitungan dalam manajemen persediaan yang bertujuan untuk menentukan jumlah pemesanan yang paling ekonomis dengan meminimalkan biaya pemesanan barang dan biaya penyimpanan barang. EOQ juga didukung dengan metode ROP (Reorder Point). Dalam metode ROP ini, kita dapat menghitung kapan perusahaan melakukan pemesanan barang kembali. Tujuannya penelitian ini agar mempermudah pihak KUD untuk lebih efektif dan efisien dalam mendata persediaan pupuk organik serta meminimalisir tingkat kekeliruan secara manual saat mendata.
