Abstrak. Mitra kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah SLB Negeri 1 Kabupaten Gowa yang mengalami kesulitan untuk dapat mengenal memahami dan melakukan penanganan sederhana terhadap kondisi anak autis dan Anak ADHD yang sama-sama memiliki masalah dengan perhatian. Perilaku mereka suka berubah tiba-tiba (impulsif) dan juga sulit berkomunikasi. Mereka mempunyai masalah dalam berhubungan dengan orang lain. Karena terlihat mirip, kadang orang menyamakan kondisi ADHD dengan autisme. Jika hal ini dibiarkan berlanjut maka penanganannya akan mengalami hambatan. Sebagai Langkah awal, diperlukan sosialisasi untuk mengenal, memahami dan melakukan penanganan sederhana terhadap anak autis dan anak ADHD tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah melalui ceramah, tanya jawab dan simulasi penanganan. dengan jumlah guru yang hadir sebanyak 16 orang guru. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat adalah terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai kondisi anak autis dan anak ADHD dilihat dari hasil pre-test dan post-test yang telah dilakukan, yaitu terdapat peningkatan pada 93% peserta pelatihan, dengan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 7%-93% sehingga dapat disarankan untuk memperluas lingkup mitra dan memperdalam sosialisasi penanganan anak autis dan anak ADHD.Kata Kunci : Autis, ADHD, Penanganan Sederhana
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan alphabet geser untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca murid tunagrahita kelas dasar II di SLB Negeri 1 Kabupaten Gowa Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen subjek tunggal (single subjek research) dengan desain penelitian A-B-A. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alphabet geser berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca pada murid tunagrahita. Hasil tersebut dibuktikan berdasarkan hasil analisis dalam kondisi: 1) pada fase baseline 1 (A1) kemampuan membaca berada pada kategori sangat rendah, 2) Fase intervensi (B) kemampuan membaca meningkat dan berada pada kategori cukup , 3) fase baseline 2 (A2) kemampuan membaca meningkat dan berada pada kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan analisis antar kondisi tidak terjadi data tumpang tindih sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa alphabet geser dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pada murid tunagrahita kelas dasar II di SLB Negeri 1 Kabupaten Gowa Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan.
Learning life skills and simple skills is very important to provide provisions for mentally retarded students. The aims of this training are to provide simple skills in making three-dimensional frames for independent living. This activity is followed by 12 middle class students at SLB YP3LB Makassar. The paper uses a qualitative approach by making observations. The implementation of the training on making three-dimensional frames went smoothly and resulted in several examples of frames made by students. Training for mentally retarded students and other students with special needs requires hand-eye coordination and longer time to get neat skill results. For this reason, it is suggested to the teacher to train the coordination of fine motor movements of students so that the coordination of the eyes and hands of students is well formed.
This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of skimming techniques on the ability to read comprehension in class VII mild mentally disabled students at SLB Negeri 1 Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Academic Year 2021/2022. This study uses the Single Subject Research (SSR) method A-B design. The subjects of this study were students with the initials MR. The study was conducted in 10 sessions conducted in two phases: the baseline phase (A1) with five sessions and the intervention phase (B) with five sessions. The results of this study indicate an effect of the skimming technique on reading comprehension skills. This is indicated by the data values obtained in the baseline phase (A1) increased in the baseline phase (B). In addition, based on the data obtained, then analyzed using analysis in conditions and between conditions. The analysis of data between conditions and between conditions showed that the mean level of the intervention phase (B) increased compared to the baseline phase (A1). Penelitian dilakukan dalam 10 sesi yang dilakukan pada dua fase, yaitu fase baseline (A1) sebanyak 5 sesi dan fase intervensi (B) sebanyak 5 sesi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh teknik skimming terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan data nilai yang diperoleh pada fase baseline (A1) meningkat pada fase baseline (B). Selain itu berdasarkan data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis dalam kondisi dan analisis antar kondisi. Hasil dari analisis data dalam kondisi dan antar kondisi menunjukkan bahwa mean level fase intervensi (B) meningkat dibanding pada fase baseline (A1). Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan teknik skimming terhadap kemampuan membaca pemehaman pada siswa tunagrahita ringan kelas VII di SLB Negeri 1 Kabupaen Gowa Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan.Kata Kunci: Tunagrahita; Membaca Pemahaman; Skimming
After completing their education at Special Education School (SLB), intellectually disabled students have to return to their community. Therefore, it is necessary to provide them with simple skills of making use of used newspapers. This study was intended to provide the teenage intellectually disabled students of SLB YP3LB Makassar with the skill that would enable them to live independently. The training was given to 5 mentally disabled students of vocational class at SLB YP3LB Makassar. The methods used were socialization, training, and practice. The findings indicate that the empowerment in form of training to make handicrafts from used newspaper is good for intellectually disabled students. The training was successful because (1) the skills trained were been mastered by the participants, (2) the materials and tools used were well known to participants, (3) the activities were organized in simple ways, (4) the examples and instructions were clearly stated, (5) and time allotted was enough for participants to do the steps correctly. It is suggested that the ability of students with intellectual disabilities in making use of newspapers can be improved in various forms. The skills will be able to help intellectually disabled students to live independently using the skills to make a living.
