One of the fishery resources that have high economic value are demersal fisheries resources in deep sea waters. The results ofthis study found 22 demersal fish species with high economic value captured by fishermen. The results ofthe study found as many as 22 species, five fish stretcher 5 that can be foundin nearly all areas and fishing season. Five types of fish are: lencam (Lethrinus sp.), kurisi (Etelis spp), kerapu (Ephinephelus sp), red snapper (Lutjanus spp), bubara fish (Caranx sp). The types of fish catches were found spread around the waters of Ambon Island. The potential at Maxsimum sustainable Yield (MSY) of fish grouper (Epinephelus spp) 572.02 with 15.75 tonnes optimum effort trip. The average production of 178.919 tonnes currently. Thus the average utilization rate of groupers currently 31.27% or 68.72% untapped. If it is based on the MSY allowable catch for the fish species is 457.60 tons / year. MSY red snapper (Lutjanus spp) 146.83 wih 2.631 tonnes optimum effort trip. Average production is currently 67.704 tons. Thus the average utilization rate of the red snapper fish is currently 47.47%, or in other words the potential for red snapper untapped 52.52%. If it is based on the MSY allowable catch for the fish species is 117 464 tons / year. MSY bubara fish (Caranx sp) 270.60 tonnes with optimum effort 3630 trip with an average yield of 72.96 tons.
Nelayan di Perairan Desa Wakal menggunakan alat tangkap bubu untuk menangkap ikan karang. Bubu terbuat dari anyaman bambu dengan celah-celah berukuran kecil berbentuk hexagonal. Konstruksi ukuran mata bubu masih belum efektif untuk meloloskan ikan-ikan yang belum layak tangkap sehingga sangat mempengaruhi kelangsungan sumberdaya ikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis tingkat selektivitas alat tangkap bubu dengan melihat komposisi hasil tangkapan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan uji coba penangkapan menggunakan 4 unit bubu buton yang dipasangcover net sebanyak 20 kali ulangan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan September-Desember 2016 di Desa Wakal, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Jumlah total hasil tangkapan bubu sebanyak 353 ekor yang terdiri dari 63 spesies dan 22 famili. Komposisi ikan dominan adalah pada famili Achanthuridae, Scaridae, Holocentridae, Serranidae dan Lethrinidae. Presentasi ikan yang layak tangkap sebesar 76.34% dan tidak layak tangkap sebesar 23.66%. Kurva selektivitasberdasarkan fungsi logistik menunjukkan bahwa peluang tertangkap ikan pada ukuran tinggi tubuh 9.5-19.5 cm, sedangkan ukuran ikan yang mampu meloloskan diri mempunyai tinggi tubuh sebesar 3.5-7.5 cm. Bubu yang digunakan nelayan tidak selektif terhadap jenis dan ukuran.Kata kunci: bubu, desa wakal, ikan karang, selektivitas.
Fisheries utilization of rabbitfish is one of the big potential resource in Seribu Island. Catch production of rabbitfish in the Thousand Islands has increased, it was influenced by market demand. The impact of continuously rabbitfish exploration is habitat destruction. The aim of research were an inventory fishing gear types for rabbitfish and determine sustainable level of rabbitfish fishing unit. The research method was survey. It was conducted in February-March 2015 and November-December, 2015. Analysis data which used to inventory fishing gear types of rabbitfish in Seribu Islands was descriptive analysis; Sustainable level was analyzed by nine criteria of FAO. The results showed that fishing gear which caught rabbitfish in Seribu Islands were muroami, bamboo traps, wire traps, net traps, surrounding nets, and speargun. Kegiatan eksplorasi penangkapan baronang secara terus-menerus mengakibatkan kerusakan habitat penangkapan. Tujuan penelitian inventarisasi jenis alat tangkap baronang serta menentukan tingkat keramahan lingkungan unit penangkapan ikan baronang. Metode penelitian yaitu survey. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2015 dan November-Desember 2015. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif untuk menginventarisasi jenis alat tangkap ikan baronang di Kepulauan Seribu; Analisis tingkat keramahan lingkungan berdasarkan sembilan kriteria FAO. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jenis alat tangkap ikan yang menangkap baronang di Kepulauan Seribu adalah alat tangkap muroami, bubu tambun, bubu kawat, bubu jaring, jaring lingkar, dan speargun. Lobster is one of the commodities that Indonesia export fisheries worth selling high. The value of selling lobster is affected by type, size, and condition or completeness of her body. Palabuhanratu is one of the centers of the lobster fishery in the South of West Java. Research on condition of fishing lobster in Palabuhanratu was done in April through November 2016 include the type, gender, number, and size (carapace length and weight) and its relationship with regulatory. Observation and measurement of the collecting is done in the lobster that come for each/sold to the warehouse by fisherman and follows directly the activities of catching lobsters. The data already obtained tabulated and analyzed. The results showed that types of lobsters captured fisherman Palabuhanratu are Panulirus ornatus, Panulirus penicillatus, Panulirus versicolor and Panulirus homarus. The majority of lobsters are caught is a kind of lobster P. homarus and P. ornatus and then followed P. penicillatus and P. versicolor. The number of the male for P. homarus, P. versicolor and P. ornatus more than females while the females of P. penicillatus more than males. The majority of the lobster weights less than 300 grams and carapace length less than 8 cm. The body condition of fishing lobster in Palabuhanratu based on the lobster fishery regulations that exist for all types of lobsters is a majority yet decent catch.
