The authors conducted a study of the current audit quality control system in Ukraine to develop proposals according to the main areas of its development and improvement based on the positive foreign experience and criteria determined by users of audit services. The information base of the empirical study was the data from the reports of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine on the activities of audit companies and their statistical indicators. The results of the study, analytical findings and recommendations for practice and research prospects are presented in the article. The provisions of the current legislation of Ukraine are used as a source of representation of conceptual definitions and methods for assessing the quality of audit in Ukraine. The research methodology is based on theoretical generalizations and the use of the scientific tools, including comparative analysis, a survey of users of audit services regarding its qualitative characteristics and the study of the experience of foreign countries. The necessity of introducing social (public) supervision, development of internal audit quality control, increasing the responsibility of audit entities, will help to overcome the identified shortcomings associated with the quality parameters of the provided audit services. A number of hypotheses are formulated, which were confirmed during the study or require additional research. The proposed recommendations can have a positive impact on the overall quality of audit activities, provided that they are put into practice in a comprehensive manner. Thus, it is not necessary that they all be implemented at the same time. sequential implementation option is possible.
The economic growth of agricultural production is one of the main problems of modern economic development of Ukraine, in which investment processes play an important role. Therefore, the research is to reveal the importance of investment for the development of agriculture and rural areas of Ukraine and to develop recommendations to enhance investments in the Ukrainian rural areas. The data base of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on economic development of Ukraine, investment activity of agriculture in Ukraine and attraction of foreign direct investments into the economy of Ukraine for 2014-2018 served as the information base for empirical and statistical research. It is found according to the results of the study that the level of provision of agriculture with investment resources is not sufficient. The reason is a number of negative factors: imperfect legislative framework, corruption, economic instability of the country, military conflict in the east of the country, insufficient financing of agriculture, low level of credit to the sector, etc. Using a systematic and integrated method, a model for the formation of investment support for sustainable rural development has been developed. We believe that in order to activate the sustainable development of rural territories, the use of the model will help to streamline and allocate financial and investment resources and improve rural investment activities. Conceptual approaches to the possible introduction of the agricultural land market in Ukraine are substantiated.
Despite the steady export of Ukrainian grain growth, the net profit from its sales does not increase, and most times, even falls. That is why it became necessary to find out the reasons for the current situation and find ways out of it. The most common method for solving such problems in the modern world is the implementation of blockchain and related technologies (smart contracts, cryptocurrencies, etc.). This article is devoted to studying the economic need for the use of blockchain technologies to monitor grain for export in Ukraine and the analysis of foreign experience blockchain implementation to agricultural supply chains to adapt the best practices to Ukrainian realities. As a result of a theoretical study, the article identified problems in Ukrainian grain export, analyzed the results of using blockchain to solve similar problems in foreign countries, and also identified ways to use world experience in this area. In addition, the authors offered practical recommendations for changing and complementing the existing technological and logistic stages of grain export in Ukraine. It was also found that blockchain technologies, because of their properties such as decentralized control, security, traceability, and control of transactions, could solve most of the problems that arise in the grain supply chain from grower to end consumer. The authors have proposed a generalized multilayer system that includes a "Data input layer", a "Data store layer", and a "User's layer", which most fully considers the peculiarities of agriculture in Ukraine. However, the question of these technologies introducing cost and the economic feasibility of their use for farms of various sizes remains is still unclear, and will be considered by the authors in their following works.
During the COVID-19 crisis, there were many restrictions to transportation. Due to that, a significant disruption in the food supply chain has emerged. The transportation of the fresh food and maintaining the quality, from farm to the table or distributing and then collecting from the warehouses and delivering to the consumer, has become crucial. Technologies and especially IoT, have become the primary tool to fight it. The research objective is to analyze and create new knowledge about digital technologies used to improve and make more effective the food supply chain processes. An exploratory case study methodology helps to investigate a large consortium based on IoT technologies, implemented in pilot cases on farm level and measuring their performance over the period of four years. This is an interpretative study, and the method of semi-structured interviews and document review for collecting the data was used. The results show IoT-connected sensors and systems in food and beverage supply chain logistics offer real-time visibility and data-driven analytics, allowing stakeholders to improve performance, cut operating costs, conduct predictive maintenance to avoid downtime, and even decrease energy usage or reduce negative environmental impacts.
