The aim of this study is to examine the effect of high intensity training with their own body weight on flexibility and anaerobic capacity.
This study investigated the relationship between quality of life level and social appearance anxiety levels of physically disabled boccia athletes. The population of 2018–2019 Boccia Championships for the Physically Disabled Turkey was invited to participate (N = 97 athletes), and sampling was determined by simple random sampling (n = 83); data from 80 athletes were used. The quantitative study was performed by applying the linkage method to the screening model. Questionnaire technique was used as the data collection method. The descriptive form, quality of life scale, and social appearance anxiety scale were applied to the participants. Correlation and regression analysis were used for statistical analysis. When the direction and level of the relationship between quality of life and social appearance anxiety were examined, a high level and positive relationship between quality of life and social appearance anxiety was found. There is a significant relationship between quality of life and social appearance anxiety. Regression coefficient values of quality of life level contribute to social appearance anxiety level. As a result, a high and negative relationship was found between quality of life and social appearance anxiety. This study found that the quality of life level of the physically disabled individuals engaged in boccia sport contributed to social appearance anxiety level. In other words, it has been determined that the determinants of quality of life are an important or priority variable in social appearance anxiety of physically disabled boccia athletes.
Bu çalışmanın amacı, özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin zihinsel engelli çocukların sportif etkinliklerine yönelik tutumlarını etkileyen faktörleri incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini, İstanbul İli, 2019-2020 İl Milli Eğitim müdürlüklerine bağlı okullarda görev yapan (n=103) özel eğitim öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Katılımcılara "Mesleki Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği" ve "Zihinsel engelli çocukların sportif etkinliklerine yönelik tutum ölçeği" uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis Testleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin, cinsiyet değişkenine göre mesleki benlik saygısı ve zihinsel engelli bireylerin sportif etkinliklerine yönelik tutumları üzerinde bir etkisi olmadığı, zihinsel engellilerle ilgili eğitim alma durumları ve zihinsel engelli tanıdığa sahip olan özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin daha olumlu tutum puanına sahip olduğu, özel eğitim öğretmeninin zihinsel engelli çocuklara yönelik toplam tutum puanı ile mesleki benlik saygısı alt boyutların puanlarında görülen artışa paralel olarak tutum puanında da artış olduğu görülmektedir.
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between academic self-efficacy and distance education perception levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates during the pandemic process. The population of the study consists of teacher candidates (n=908) studying at the physical education and sports teaching departments of the School of Physical Education and Sports and Sports Sciences within the private and public universities affiliated to the Higher Education Institution in Istanbul, and the sample consists of volunteers (n=398) determined by simple random sampling method from this population. In order to collect data, the Google Forms platform was preferred in order to maintain social distance during the pandemic process. During the data collection process, information and questionnaires about the study were communicated to the participants through social networks. Volunteers who participated in the study were asked to fill in the personal information form, academic self-efficacy and distance education perception scales. The data obtained in the study were analyzed in computer environment. Variables are expressed by using mean ± standard deviation, percentage and frequency values. Pearson product moments correlation analysis (r) was applied to reveal the relationships between the scales. For the significance level of the tests, p<0.05 and p<0.01 values were accepted. As a result, it was determined that the academic self-efficacy and distance education perception levels of physical education and sports teacher candidates were above the average. Between the academic self-efficacy and perception of distance education. A low level positive relationship was found. It is thought that this situation is caused by the concerns of physical education and sports teacher candidates, who are accustomed to the face-to-face transfer of knowledge and skills related to the teaching models of sportive skills, to the transition to distance education and to the problems that may occur in this process and not to learn the necessary knowledge and skills related to their professional development.
