The aim of this study was to determine the economic and environmental feasibility of water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) briquette. The economic feasibility was determined by the BCR, NPV, Payback Period, and BEP value. While the environmental feasibility was determined by the potential of water hyacinth briquette to control water hyacinth in Cirata Reservoir. Briquette A1P3 (the charcoal combinations of rice husk: water hyacinth 1:1 and the percentage of tapioca binder 5%.) was used in this research. The need of water hyacinth briquettes by a satay (tiny grilled chicken) seller and a grilled fish seller is greater than the need of charcoal and coconut shell charcoal. It shows that water hyacinth briquettes have a lower economic value than charcoal and coconut shell charcoal. A project of water hyacinth briquette processing is economically feasible with the assumption that all products sold because of the BCR value (1.1) > 1, and the NPV value (58,390,711) > 0, with Payback Period in 4.6 years and BEP 95,621.5 kg in 5 years. The use of water hyacinth briquettes by a satay and grilled fish trader at 20,949 kg briquettes/year has the potential to control water hyacinth in Cirata Reservoir of 0.02% per year.
The batik industry produces liquid waste from the coloring, washing and rinsing processes. This study was aimed to analyze the quality of Banten batik effluent before and after treatment. The processing is carried out using an experimental method with a batch system by coagulation using alum and adsorption using Bayah's natural zeolite by performing 3 variations of coagulant mass and adsorbent for the dye test parameters, TDS and TSS. The results of the test before treatment were the results for dyes of 344 TCU, TDS 620 mg/L, and TSS 218.5 mg/L. Based on the coagulation treatment using alum, the most efficient coagulant results were obtained to reduce the levels of dyestuffs and TDS, namely by using alum coagulant as much as 1500 mg/L which resulted in 96.6 TCU and 330.0 mg/L respectively, then to reduce TSS levels obtained an efficient coagulant that is 500 mg/L with a yield of 10 mg/L. The adsorption treatment using Bayah natural zeolite can reduce the levels of TDS and TSS with the most efficient results using an adsorbent of 150 g/L obtained for TDS 189.3 mg/L and TSS 13.3 mg/L. So based on the results of processing using coagulation and adsorption methods, it is hoped that the batik industry can apply it in processing the liquid waste produced.
Tempe is one of Indonesia's special foods made from soybeans. This study aims to identify and analyze application of cleaner production to the tempe industry. Analysis of the application of cleaner production is done by the quick scanning method at each stage of the production process and then tested for its technical and economic feasibility (PBP). The analysis results of the application of cleaner production in the tempe industry are tool modification, fuel substitution, use of personal protective equipment, reuse, recycle and reduce. Based on the results of technical and economic feasibility tests, the alternative application of cleaner production in the form of solid waste utilization of soybean husks as animal feed is the first priority scale to be applied to the tempe industry
The aim research was to analyze the student readability of translated textbooks Chemistry on concept Acids and Bases. Neutralization and Titration, and Weak Acid-Base Equilibrium were the sub concepts analyzed in this research. Descriptive method used in this research. The subjects were students majoring in chemistry education as many as 23 people. The instruments that used in this study were readability instrument based on student's response and writing ideas. Data were collected through self-learning which students study textbooks translation, fill the readability questionnaire, then write down the main idea. The results show the readabilitiy of translated textbooks Chemistry on concept Acids and Bases was on medium level with the percentage of students who choose that level was 47.8%. Most of the students were able to write down the main idea of the translated text books Chemistry on concept Acids and Bases with a percentage of 61.45%.
Usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting dalam membangun dan mengembangkan perekonomian Nasional. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengembangkan pemasaran UMKM adalah digital marketing. Desa Kurungdahu yang terletak di Kecamatan Cadasari, Kabupaten Pandeglang memiliki empat UMKM yang bergerak di bidang kuliner, yaitu Ranggining, Sempring, Keripik Singkong dan Bakso Ayam. Pemasaran produk UMKM tersebut belum menggunakan e-commerce karena masih terbatas pada relasi teman dan keluarga baik secara langsung, maupun melalui media sosial whatsapp. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mensosialisasikan digital marketing melalui penggunaan e-commerce untuk meningkatkan pemasaran UMKM di Desa Kurungdahu, Kecamatan Cadasari, Kabupaten Pandeglang. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat berupa: pergantian kemasan produk, pembuatan logo merek setiap produk UMKM, sosialisasi digital marketing, pembuatan akun e-commerce Shoppee ‘tokoonlinekurungdahu’ dan sosialisasi penggunaan e-commerce.
