Dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic is playing a significant role in public health policies around the world. Mental health is one. Either in supporting the maintenance of isolation or dealing with demands, which may come from the general population and health professionals. This work presents a compilation of data obtained by clinical psychologists during the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil. Through searches on social media with #Covid19 and #MentalHealth and the exchange of information on networks of professionals, it was possible to compile and group the main psychological symptoms presented during isolation. Information was clustered according to the period it appeared, in order to guide future situations. Moreover, to prepare a group of clinical psychologists to provide online assistance. Prevention must be the key to deal with the mental health catastrophe that there is to come.
Objetivo: Identificar quais benefícios que a atividade física pode oferecer como estratégia no processo de reabilitação psicossocial de um dependente químico e os efeitos produzidos por ela sobre o indivíduo. Metodologia: revisão sistemática integrativa, tendo como base de dados os artigos encontrados no google acadêmico no período de 2006 a 2015. Resultados e discussão: Estudos demonstram que a prática de atividade física regular traz diversos benefícios, não somente para saúde física, mas principalmente para saúde mental. Sabemos também que o número de dependentes químicos cresce alarmantemente em nossa sociedade e já é considerado um quadro epidêmico. Pode-se destacar os efeitos da atividade física como estratégia no processo de reabilitação de dependentes químicos e identificar como a prática de atividade física está sendo discutida como fator protetivo no processo de reabilitação. Conclusão: Enseja-se por meio desta análise, que os resultados possam direcionar a aplicação da atividade física de forma mais efetiva no tratamento de dependentes químicos. Conclui-se que os artigos apontam para a importância significativa no tratamento, uma vez que esta possibilita a melhora das condições de saúde e de qualidade de vida, entre outros.
Harmful drug use by women is a growing problem. The objective of this study was to identify and discuss the relationship between gender inequality and the factors that lead women to abuse psychoactive substances, as well as the difficulties encountered in the performing treatment. This is a qualitative study, in which a semi-structured interview was conducted with seven women undergoing treatment at the Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Drugs -CAPS ad in Manaus, Brazil. The results indicated some issues related to gender inequality as influencing the maintenance of drug abuse by women, discussed in five categories: 1st Notions about gender inequality; 2nd use of drug abuse; 3rd lived social vulnerabilities, 4th Difficulties in treatment; 5th Perception of public policy for women with drug problems. Thus, it is concluded the importance of discussions and new research with a feminist context to address this problem, in order to think about better forms of prevention and treatment aimed at women and their particularities.
This paper aims to report an experience of a group of psychologists working in the field of Health Psychology. It is the result of an intervention work in a school, located in Manaus, capital of Amazonas State, Brazil. It was an education proposal on the theme Death, aimed at children between 8 and 12 years. Children with delays in school performance were selected and their experience broadened the concept of Health and Psychology, building a more affectionate and skillful relationship in understanding the demands of others outside the established spaces of Health.
