This paper presents the design and performance of the Low Noise Amplifier for a UWB Receiver. The amplifier utilizes commercially available components using a balanced microstrip structure. It provides an overall gain around 10dB over the entire UWB band (3.1-10.6 GHz). The input and the output reflection coefficients are better than -13 and -20 dB, respectively. The noise figure of the amplifier is 3 dB over the frequency band.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
