Work is a demand for an adult, because through working, person can actualize their skill and achieve their aspiration. Beside that through working, person can meets their basic needs of life. Yet, working also has a hidden threat that can be suddenly attack and eradicate the well being of person. Those hidden threat is called as a strain and stress. The present study purposes to examine relationship between job insecurity, and the role of religious coping as moderator variables with job stress among Javanese academic staff. Contextual factor should be considered to achieve more in depth comprehension about dynamic relationship of job stress, especially this study take Javanese culture account for understanding of contextualizing theory of job stress. Moderated multiple regression was conducted to examine this issue. The result of study confirmed that there is a significant relationship between job insecurity with job stress, and religious coping moderate the relationship between job insecurity with job stress. The mechanism of relationship among exogenous and endogenous variables was discussed in a paper below.
The lack of research on cyberbullying among Indonesian adolescents has become one of the critical arguments of this research. This study aimed to discover the factors that contribute to cyberbullying. This study took samples of students from three schools. The sample was 112 junior to senior high school students. The findings of this study indicate that school climate, parent-child relationship, and empathy have a significant role that encourages cyberbullying.
<p>Wellbeing is the ultimate goal for everyone, not only for adolescence. Present study explore the relationship between gratitude and forgiveness with happiness among college student. A total of 81 undergarduate psychology students were recruited in this study from a private university in Jogjakarta. 29.6% (24) of the sample were males and 70.4% (57) were females Regression analysis was used to predict the model. This model regression predict relationship between gratitude and forgiveness with happiness, explaining 28.9% of the variance (Adjusted R2= 0.289).Gratitude give the biggest contribution to happiness (b= .536 p= .000), but forgiveness has no significance relationship to happiness (b= .078, p= .414). This result means that gratitude is an important factor contribute to happiness among undergraduate student in this sample. The implication of study are discussing further.</p>
Currently, the incidence of cyberbullying increase widespread among children and adolescents in Indonesia. One of eight parents stated that their children have been victims of abused and humiliation through online media. As many as 55% of parents said they knew one child experienced cyberbullying. This study aims to investigate cyberbullying related to daily spiritual experiences, self-esteem and family harmony. Present study also explores the factors that lead to the emergence of the cyberbullying phenomenon among high school students.Cross sectional method was used in this study. ANOVA was also used for data analysis. A total of 150 high school students from three schools in Yogyakarta involved randomly in the study. The results show that there was a significant difference in the level of family harmony and the experience of being a victim among perpetrators with non-perpetrators. The result also found that the perpetrators of cyberbullying who have done more than two times (several times) have high level of family harmony, while the perpetrators who only do one or two times have lower level of family harmony. The implication of study was discussed further.
Globalization brings change in all aspect of human life, including in how job and organizations operate. These changes create strain and stress not only among employee at business organization, but also among academic staff. The dean of faculty or department at university has important role in prevent the effects of job stress among the academic staff by giving support, motivation, and redesign how a task should be finished to reduce job stress. This study aims to examine the role of leadership practices with job stress among Malay academic staff. Design of this study is survey research with quantitative approach. A total of 124 academic staff participate or answered the questionnaires. The data was analyzed with structural equation model method using Amos 18 program. The result of structural equation modeling suggests that four dimensions of leadership practices show unique relationship pattern with four dimensions of job stress. The significant relationship between exogenous and endogenous was tested using structural equation modeling (SEM). The result of SEM analysis just confirms three exogenous variables that significantly have relationship with endogenous variables. Those are dimension of challenging the process with behavioral, emotional, physiologic and cognitive stress responses. Enabling others to act with emotional stress response, and the last, encouraging the heart with behavioral stress response. While inspiring a shared vision is not have significant relationship with all dimension of job stress. Overall, the proposed model had a fit model with empirical data. The mechanism of relationship among exogenous and endogenous variables will be discussed in a paper below.
