This study aimes to analyze the influence of managerial competency and external environment in the competitive advantage of creative industries of West Sumatera. The sample size is determined by Rubin formula numbering 157 managers of creative industries of West Sumatera. The sampling technique used is proportional stratified random sampling, in which the samples are allocated proportionally in six cities namely: Padang, Padang Panjang, Bukittinggi, Payakumbuh, Pariaman, and Solok. The research method used is survey and the data are collected through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Model (SEM) and PLS software tools. The study showes that managerial competency and external environment effects positively and significantly on the competitive advantage of creative industries of West Sumatera.
This study aims to determine the indicators of entrepreneurial competency and compile the levels of entrepreneurial competency indicators needed from the highest to the lowest level. The research population is the creative industry SMEs in the culinary sector of the city of Padang, with a sample size of 86 managers of the creative industry SMEs in the culinary sector/traditional Padang restaurants, the research location being the city of Padang. This study uses a quantitative approach with the method of SEM and uses Amos as data processing, specifically Second Order Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The results showed the dimensions of entrepreneurial competence needed: conceptual, leadership, learning, opportunity, and personal. The highest level score of the entrepreneurial competence indicator is looking at problems from a positive perspective. The lowest score is recognizing one's strengths and weaknesses and adapting to opportunities and threats. This research is helpful as a reference for indicators of entrepreneurial competency needed for creative industry SMEs in the culinary sector in the city of Padang.

Sebagian besar pelajar sebagai pengguna internet lebih banyak menggunakan ponsel dibanding lewat laptop atau ke warung internet, namun hanya untuk browsing, chating dengan aplikasi media sosial atau bermain games online sehingga menghabiskan waktu, namun tidak difungsikan untuk kraetifitas diri. Oleh karena itu diberikan pemahaman kepada pelajar agar ponsel digunakan secara maksimal selain sebagai media pembelajaran formal juga difungsikan untuk mengembangkan dan mengasah kreatifitas diri atau mengedukasi diri secara teknologi digital dengan membuat content yang dapat dijadikan usaha atau bisnis online. Salah satunya melalui aplikasi KUNCIE siswa dapat belajar memulai bisnis sebagai pemula, pembelajaran dari mentor-mentor yang ahli di bidangnya masing-masing untuk menyampaikan bagaimana hobi berbasis digital dijadikan potensi diri untuk berkreatifitas.
The Padang government has made a policy in the form of providing Recommendation Labels to Padang restaurants that have met the required criteria. This labeling aims to provide comfort and security to consumers who use services at Padang Restaurant. The research carried out in this paper aims to determine consumer perceptions of the Recommendation Label and the influence of the Recommendation Label perception on consumer purchasing decisions at Padang Restaurant. A total of 100 respondents who were taken by incidental sampling were included in this study. Data obtained from respondents were analyzed using the simple linear regression method. As a result, consumers positively perceive the Recommendation Label but do not make the main basis in making purchasing decisions. Perceived Label Recommendation has a positive and significant effect of 66.4 percent on consumer purchasing decisions at Padang Restaurant
The development of tourism industries in Indonesia has been heavily hit by the COVID-19 pandemic since early 2020 which has caused an unprecedented crisis in this sector. As a result, there is an increase in the average debts in this sector to maintain the long-term stability of firms. This study aims to examine the difference in firm value affected by the firm leverage, by comparing the year 2019 before the pandemic with the year 2020 period during the pandemic occurred. The data were collected through datastream and the www.idx.co.id website. The samples were selected using the purposive sampling method with the final samples being 39 companies per year. To measure the leverage variable, debt ratio, time interest earned, and debt-equity ratio were employed, while the firm value variable was processed using Tobin’s Q. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using SPSS version 26. Using primary and secondary data, the study reveals that the level of leverage before and during the pandemic demonstrates an unsubstantial difference in terms of companies’ sustainability. Along with that, the three variables mentioned above have an insignificant impact on the firm value.
