One of the factors supporting the professional success of prospective teachers is their attitudes towards teaching profession. Many studies have been carried out on determining the attitudes of prospective teachers towards teaching profession. One of the main questions in those studies is to determine if the gender is effective or not. In this study, the meta-analysis was performed in order to determine the effects of gender on the attitudes of prospective teachers towards teaching profession between 2010 and 2015. As a result of database scanning, it has been seen that there were 34 publications that contain related data for metaanalysis. According to the performed analyses, it was concluded that there was no publication bias and it was required to perform analysis according to random effects model. According to meta-analysis results, the general impact level of the publications was 0.323 and they were at small size level. In other words, attitudes of female students towards teaching profession were higher than that of male students. According to the analyses from the aspect of score type of the departments, at which the prospective teachers were studying, it can be said that the differentiation by scores was significant and the attitudes of female and male students were similar in science-math scores. In analyses performed from the aspect of geographical regions of study, it was concluded that the differentiation was not significant.

The data were analyzed with SPSS 17 statistical program and validity tests were conducted. Pearson Correlation was used in the analysis of the data. Results were presented in summary tables consisting of frequency (n) distribution, mean and standard deviation. The significance level was taken as 5% (p = 0.05) in all analyzes. As a result of the research; preschool teachers try to use definitions that cover the concept of art; they know various branches of art and the sub-branches of these branches of art, mostly visual arts; that the majority of teachers are engaged in or want to deal with a branch of art; It has been found that striving and willingness to engage are due to various reasons. In addition, it was determined that all of the teachers expressed their opinion that art should be taken care of due to various reasons.

Meslek eğitimi, yaparak ve yaşayarak usta çırak ilişkisiyle informal boyutta başlamıştır. Mesleki ve teknik eğitim, bilimin ilerlemesi ve çeşitlenmesiyle birlikte ülkelerin üretim yapmasında ve rekabet etmesinde önemli hale gelmiş, örgün ve yaygın eğitim sistemleri içerisinde yerini almıştır. Özellikle sanayileşme dönemiyle birlikte artan iş gücü ihtiyacı, mesleki ve teknik eğitimde üretici bireylerin yetiştirilmesini zorunlu hale getirmiştir. Bu yolda uğraş veren ülkeler günümüzde gelişmişlik düzeylerini artırmışlardır. Osmanlıdan Cumhuriyete geçilirken en büyük eksikliklerden biri de mesleki eğitimden ziyade teknik eğitime ağırlık verilmesi olmuştur. II. Meşrutiyet Döneminden itibaren bu konuda çok sayıda görüş ve önerilerin sunulduğu aşikârdır. Mesleki ve Teknik eğitimin tam anlamıyla uygulamaya konulması, Türkiye'de gelişmiş ülkelere nazaran geç de olsa ancak cumhuriyet döneminde uygulama alanı bulmuştur. Mesleki ve teknik eğitim konusunda ülkeye davet edilen yabancı uzmanların yanı sıra yerli uzmanlar da görüşlerini sunmuşlardır. Bu araştırmada 1927 tarihinde Kemal Zaim (Sunel) tarafından yazılan ve Maarif Vekâleti Yüksek Tedrisat Müdüriyeti tarafından yayınlanan "Mesleki Tedrisat Hakkında Muhtıra" nın günümüz Türkçesine transkripsiyonu yapılmıştır. 92 yıl önce yazılan bu muhtıra, mesleki ve teknik eğitimdeki durumu geçmiş ve günümüz açısından karşılaştırma fırsatı verdiğinden dolayı önemli görülmüştür.
