High-resolution mm continuum observations are especially well suited to detect clumpy structures in molecular clouds. In this paper we concentrate on the Mon R2 cloud core which is associated with a cluster of IR sources. Walker et al. (1990) made a 1.3 mm map with 30″ resolution. They found an unresolved and elongated structure extending from NE to SW. Here, we discuss high-resolution continuum maps at 870 and 1300 µm showing a rich clumpy structure on the scale of several 10 arcsec. The clumps are probably intimately linked to the star formation process in Mon R2.
For at all 24 stars in the field of the heavily reddened open cluster NGC 1502 we obtained UEYand uvby photometry. 19 of these stars we classified definitely as members. From the photometric results we derived 1.1 x lo7 years as the cluster age, 960 pc as its distance, and (E(B -5) = 0.78 mag as mean reddening of the cluster. From the reddening of the foreground stars we evaluated that the intracluster reddening has to be smaller than 0.2 mag. The value of the colour excess ratio E(h -y)/E(B -V ) = 0.770 leads us to the conclusion that in the spectra of the cluster stars a very broadband structure (VBS) with a central depth of about 0.04 mag is present.Fur insgesamt 24 Sterne im Gebiet des stark verfarbten offenen Haufens NGC 1502 erhielten wir UEY und uuby Photometrie, Neunzehn dieser Sterne konnten wir definitiv als Haufenmitglieder klassifizieren. Aus der Photometrie leiteten wir ein Haufenalter von 1.1 x lo7 Jahren, eine Entfernung von 960 pc und eine Verfarbung ( E ( E -V)) = 0.78 mag ab. Aus der Verfarbung der Vordergrundsterne kann man abschatzen, daO der Farbexzess innerhalb des Haufens kleiner als 0.2 mag sein mu5. Aus der G r o k des Farbexzessverhaltnisses E(b -y)/E(E -V ) = 0.770 schlieljen wir auf eine Starke der Breitbandstruktur (YES) von 0.04 mag.
The results of photoelectric and spectrographic observations of Nova Vul 1968 No. I are described. U, B, V magnitudes and colours ranging from 1968 April 18 to June 15 are given. The distance of fhe nova was estimated to 1450 f 400 pc (m. e.). Its interstellar absorption amounts to AV = 1.2 f 0.2 mag (m. e). Spectra were obtained between 1968 April 18 and May 8 and were used to measure radial velocities for two absorption systems.
