ChemInform Abstract Flash vacuum thermolysis of the phosphaalkyne (I) or pyrolytic dehydrochlorination of dichloro(methyl)phosphane (III) yields the unstable title compound (II) which is trapped by cycloaddition reaction with the diazoacetate (IVb), methyl azide (VII), benzonitrile oxide (IX), or the munchnone (XI), producing phosphorus-containing five-ring heterocycles. The chlorodisilylphosphaethene (XIII) proves to be a synthon for (II). It reacts with the diazoalkanes (IV) to give the phosphadiazoles (V) after desilylation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
