Instilling Islamic moderation values is done to respond to the coming of some people bringing radicalism which is considered to disturb the peace and harmony of the social life of Indonesian people. Islamic moderation is a response to radicalism that must be implanted and infected to young generations. This research was intended to know how Islamic moderation values were implanted and what Islamic moderation values were implemented in teaching speaking through group work activity. This research used descriptive qualitative field research. The data collection instruments were observation and interview. The steps of data analysis were data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. This research revealed that the lecturer employed group work activity. In group work activities, the students were divided into seven groups. The member of the group consisted of five or six students. Each student in the group had their roles such as a master of ceremony, moderator, and presenter. In playing their role, they respected one and another. They discussed the topic within the group. No one dominated. After doing a discussion within the group, then each group had their turns to present their topic. If one group were presenting, the rest became the audience and vice versa. Therefore, Islamic moderation values such as Syura (discussion), Tasamuh (tolerant), Tathawur wa Ibtikar (dynamic, creative, and innovative), and Musawah (egalitarian) were implanted and implemented through group work activity in teaching speaking.
The objective of this study was to examine whether the use of the Lost Twin Game in teaching pronunciation affects students' pronunciation and how significant the effect is on their pronunciation performance. This research was motivated by the phenomenon that there are various obstacles to teaching pronunciation at the school level including those related to students’ personal characteristics and teachers’ instructional methods. The participants of this study were eighth grade students of MTs Nasrul Ulum Bagandan Pamekasan, consisting of 20 students. This research is pre-experimental utilizing a pretest and posttest, and the data for this study were analyzed statistically using a t-test with SPSS 20. The results of this study show that the t-value 0.000 is lower than 0.05 which means that there is a significant effect of the treatment on the students’ pronunciation performance, and the treatment also accounts for the students' score increase by about 25%. It is, thus, concluded that the incorporation of the Lost Twin Game in teaching pronunciation is effective in improving students' pronunciation performance. ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah penggunaan Lost Twin Game dalam pengajaran pelafalan mempengaruhi pelafalan siswa dan seberapa signifikan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja pelafalan mereka. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena adanya berbagai kendala dalam pembelajaran pengucapan di tingkat sekolah termasuk yang berkaitan dengan karakteristik pribadi siswa dan metode pembelajaran guru. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Nasrul Ulum Bagandan Pamekasan yang berjumlah 20 orang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian praeksperimental dengan menggunakan pretest dan posttest, dan data untuk penelitian ini dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dengan SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa t-value 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05 yang berarti ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari perlakuan terhadap kinerja pengucapan siswa, dan perlakuan tersebut juga menyebabkan peningkatan nilai siswa sekitar 25%. Education plays a vital role in human civilization. It is not free of some problems. One of them is students, learning interest, especially in English learning. At the same time, English one of the skills in this digital era because English becomes an alternative language in global communication. Community service through English Learning Assistance for Students by Using Method of Telling Legend of Madura at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Gunung Tangis Desa Rek-Kerrek Kecamatan Palengaan is aimed at help teacher and students solve the problems with various learning methods and media which present more exciting and enjoyable new atmosphere. From the result of assistance, it was found that students got much more interested and zealous to participate in learning proses. This community service is expected to be a model for teachers in designing more various learning activities to increase students’ motivation and interest in learning the English language.(Pendidikan yang berperan sangat penting dalam peradaban manusia tidak terlepas dari berbagai permasalahan. Salah satunya minat belajar siswa yang kurang terutama dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Sedangkan bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu keahlian bahasa yang harus dikuasai di era digital ini karena bahasa Inggris menjadi bahasa alternatif dalam komunikasi global. Pengabdian masyarakat melalui Pendampingan Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris Bagi Murid Melalui Metode Cerita Legend of Madura di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Gunung Tangis Desa Rek-kerrek Kecamatan Palengaan bertujuan untuk membantu guru dan murid memberikan solusi atas permasalahan tersebut dengan variasi metode dan media pembelajaran yang manghadirkan suasana baru yang lebih menarik dan menyengangkan. Dari hasil pendampingan yang dilakukan ditemukan bahwa siswa jauh lebih tertarik dan bersemangat dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan menjadi acuan bagi guru dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajarang yang lebih bervariasi sehingga bisa meningkatkan motivasi dan minta siswa dalam belajar bahasa Inggris).
Protection for teachers means an effort to avoid them from any kind of violence, threat, discrimination, injustice, criminalization, and deviant treatment coming from whether students, parents, or society. This study aims to examine three forms of protection for teachers in serving the job as educators namely in the realm of law, profession, and intellectual properties. It uses a juridical-sociological method in the qualitative data compilation technique. The data was obtained through in-depth interviews and desk study. Meanwhile, the data analysis is through reduction and conclusion making. It results in three conclusions. 1) The law protection for teachers comes in the form of advocacy, law dissemination, protection from any type of violence, friendly students’ education format, students' character building, and good communication with students' parent. 2) The protection for teacher in the realm of profession is through reasonable earning and freedom of speech. 3) The protection for teachers' intellectual property is through motivating them to be productive even though the results have not been well patented. حماية مهنة التدريس هي محاولة لحماية المعلمين من مختلف أشكال العنف والتهديدات والمعاملة التمييزية والظلم والتجريم والمعاملة المنحرفة من الطلاب وأولياء الأمور والمجتمع. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى فحص أشكال حماية المعلمين في أداء واجباتهم كمعلمين. وطريقة البحث المستخدمة هي المنهج الاجتماعي القانوني في إطار البحث النوعي. وكان جمع البيانات عن طريق المقابلات المتعمقة والتوثيق. يتم تحليل البيانات بخطوات مع تقليل البيانات واستخلاص النتائج. من البحث المنفذ. تظهر نتائج هذه الدراسة أن هناك: 1) الحماية القانونية للمعلمين من خلال المناصرة القانونية والتنشئة الاجتماعية القانونية، والحماية من العنف ضد المعلمين، وتنسيق التعليم الملائم للأطفال، وتشكيل شخصية الطالب، وإجراء التواصل الجيد مع أولياء أمور الطلاب 2) الحماية المهنية مع لائقة الدخل وحرية التعبير عن الآراء 3) حماية الملكية الفكرية من خلال تشجيع المعلمين على الإبداع والتصنيف، ولكن هذه المصنفات لم يتم تسجيلها ببراءة اختراع.
The study aimed to enhance students` understanding of the morphology material through intriguing games. We conducted this research on the students at Tadris Bahasa Inggris IAIN Madura in 2019/2020 with 37 students. This report used the design of classroom action research (CAR) with interviews, observation, and questionnaires as the instrument to gain the data. We carried the CAR out based on Kurt. L style, they are planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Throughout this report, the researchers carried out collaborative action research. The study results showed the average score of the pre-test is 58.8%, and the post-test score reached up to 74.1% by 29 students of 37 students who pass the completeness (reached for minimum score) in cycle I. For cycle II, it reached up to 81.1% or raised gradually from 19% to 26%, 35 students from 37 who pass the completeness in cycle II. Besides, convincingly, implementing an intriguing game can make the students interested in learning, easy to understand, motivated to study more, and become competitive.
