The purpose of this study are: (1) To determine the characteristics of science learning that have been carried out by junior high school teachers in East Lombok, (2). Developing a science learning design model for junior high school by learning Science Process Skill-based Projects, (3) Science teaching materials are arranged in the form of student books. This type of research is the research development of the Dick and Carey model, which is planned for 2 (two) years. The research design in the first year was a needs analysis conducted through a survey to obtain data on the needs for the characteristics and models of junior high school science teaching that have been carried out by teachers in East Lombok as well as compiling a draft of a student’s learning design and book draft (LKS) with learning based on a Science Process Skill Project. The instrument used was a questionnaire with research subjects of science teachers and junior high school students in East Lombok. The data collected was then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of a survey of student characteristics, it can be concluded that (1) 75% of students said that science learning in the classroom was less enjoyable and 13.9% pleasant and 11.1% even tended to be boring, (2) 77.8%. Students have difficulty in solving problems that are abstract, (3) 95% of students are more interested in learning science associated with everyday problems, (4) 75% of students have not been able to think about science problems..
Aceh is one of the cocoa producing provinces in Sumatra, Indonesia. Cocoa production in Aceh Province in 2017 amounted to 39,296 tons / year with a land area of 101,230 Ha (BPS-Statistics Indonesia 2017). The traceability system is a complex system for representing four important components called process, organization, information, and technology (Verdenius 2006). There are two traceability system methods (1) paper-based system and (2) barcode / RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). The purpose of this research is to build a traceability system by utilizing a website and quick responses code so that it can provide information that can be accessed using the internet and the QR code scanner application that can be found on a smartphone. This research was conducted using the system development life cycle (SDLC) method by utilizing primary and secondary data as supporting information to produce an information system in the form of a web application. This web application was developed using a browser, database, local server and a code writing application. There are 4 stages of analysis (1) analysis of functional requirements of the system, (2) analysis of non-functional requirements of the system, (3) analysis of system users and (4) system security analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, the main components needed are the process of input, output, storage and control. All processes are carried out by a work unit consisting of 7 admins. This web application system is registered using domain www.cocoa-trace.com with www.rumahweb.com as hosting.
<p>This study aimed to investigate the impact of using the Jigsaw Type Learning Model on the Critical Thinking Ability of Class XI students at a certain high school. The research followed an experimental approach using Quasi-Experimental Design. The population in this study consisted of two classes, with a total of 76 students in the first semester of Class XI IPA. A simple random sampling technique was used to select Class XI IPA 2 as the experimental group and Class XI IPA 1 as the control group. The critical thinking ability test in the form of an essay test, consisting of 10 questions, was used as the research instrument. The results of the data analysis showed that the average post-test score for the experimental group was 83.59, while the control group's average post-test score was 50.08. Based on the statistical analysis using the t-test formula with a 5% confidence level, the calculated t-value was 15.7. When compared with the t-table value of 1.404, it was found that t-value of 15.7 > t-table value of 1.404. Therefore, the conclusion drawn from this study was that there is a significant impact of using the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model on the Critical Thinking Ability of Class XI Students at the mentioned high school</p>
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
