Abstrak_ Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1). Identitas Arsitektur Mandar Pada Bangunan di Kelurahan Banggae Kabupaten Majene berdasarkan nilai arsitekturalnya, agar bangunan dipahami secara visual (identity), kesesuaian bangunan ditinjau dari bentuk, pola ruang (compatibility) serta kejelasan struktur fisik sebagai orientasi (view) dan diterapkan melalui pemakaian ragam hias tradisional pada bagian-bagian tertentu yang bersifat ornamentasi, agar sesuai dengan penempatannya berdasarkan perkembangan bangunan tahun 1960-2015. (2) Mengidentifikasi faktor yang menyebabkan identitas Arsitektur Mandar masih digunakan pada bangunan. Lokasi penelitian di Kelurahan Banggae Kabupaten Majene. Metode digunakan dalam penelitian adalah survey lapangan dengan mengidentifikasi 25 sampel bangunan tradisional dari 403 populasi di Kecamatan Banggae Kabupaten Majene. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak dari satu kelurahan yang mewakili lokasi penelitian. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan identifikasi dan perbandingan sesuai fakta dilapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ornamen bentuk atap khas Mandar dari segi fisik berupa penggunaan teppang atap (butung-butung) sebagian besar masih digunakan dengan nilai (±52%). Ornamen yang bermakna simbolik ini sangat signifikan mengapa identitas arsitektur Mandar masih digunakan pada bangunan etnis Mandar tahun 1960-2010, terutama pada bangunan arsitektur Mandar kontemporer, dan dari segi non fisik dipengaruhi oleh faktor status sosial dan faktor lingkungan. OutPut dari penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadi strategi pemanfaatan Identitas Arsitektur Mandar pada bangunan modern vernacular. The result of the research shows that the ornament of roof shape typical of Mandar from the physical aspect in the form of the use of teppang roof (butung-butung) is still mostly used with the value (± 52%). Pembuatan perahu katamaran berkulit plastik HDPE akan memberikan pengaruh secara teknis maupun ekonomis. Faktor berat dan desain akan berkorelasi secara langsung terhadap hambatan perahu dan perubahan kapasitas muatnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat manfaat yang diperoleh dari penggunaan bahan alternatif yang dimaksud. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara melakukan observasi, melakukan analisis berdasarkan rumus empiris, dan melakukan penilaian teknis berdasarkan kriteria yang ditetapkan dalam perencanaan kapal katamaran. Hasil analisa menunjukkan terjadi pengurangan berat sebesar 256 kg (± 25 %), di mana LWT perahu HDPE lebih ringan dari pada perahu berkulit kayu. Pengurangan berat tersebut memberikan pengaruh terhadap efesiensi kapasitas muat ± 50 %. Perahu berkulit plastik HDPE menghasilkan hambatan total (RT) sebesar 510 N dan perahu katamaran kayu sebesar 560 N. Hasil pengecekan kriteria desain perahu katamaran menunjukkan hampir semua kriteria terpenuhi, baik untuk perahu kayu maupun perahu berkulit plastik HDPE., kecuali nilai block coefficient (Cb) yang relatif cukup besar, yaitu Cb = 0,7.
Abstract. Not only the circle hollow pipe but also the rectangular hollow pipes are used on offshore structure. In this study, the bending moment was given at both end of pipe. The strength of buckling moment can be reduced by increasing the length. The rectangular pipe models are varying from a/b = 1, 2, 4; a/t = 10, 15, 20 and L/a = 10, 15, 20. On the rectangular pipe which is have larger rectangle area (a/b), have the larger deformation. Vice versa on the rectangular pipe which is have smaller rectangle area (a/b), as though on a/b = 2 and a/b = 4 which is have smaller deformation. The conclude that is the larger one of rectangle area then the oval deformation is large too. The buckling strength will increase with decreasing a/b and deformation at mid span will be increase. The buckling strength decrease with increasing of L/a and a/t. The strength of the buckling moment in the elastic state will decrease with increasing of a/t and a/b. For a/b = 1, the strength of buckling moment will tend to be equal at L/a = 10-20. Pipe with increasing of a/t, L/a and a/b will be elastic.
The longitudinal structure is needed to hold the boat, especially in sagging and hogging conditions. Modifying a longitudinal system using laminating steel and fiber is required to increase strength and reduce weight. This study uses a 7.8 m ship modified from conventional to hybrid construction. The finite element method compared the conventional and hybrid ship structures under sagging and hogging conditions to evaluate ship strength. In sagging conditions, the maximum stress in conventional boats is 16.68 MPa, reduced up to 13.65 MPa in hybrid boats. In hogging condition indicate that conventional has maximum stress is 11.18, which is higher than in conventional structure, as much as 10.38 MPa. The keel stress distribution in a couple of conditions of sagging and hogging indicates that the hybrid structure has lower stress than conventional vessels. The simulation shows that a longitudinal hybrid frame makes the ship stiffer in sagging and hogging conditions. The weight of conventional and hybrid boats is similar and affordable to more developing hybrid ships.
