The aim of this study was to investigate the bullying tendencies and value preferences of high school students according to the level of taking physical education and sports course.The research population of the study was composed of high school students studying in Yesilyurt and Battalgazi districts of Malatya province during 2013-2014 academic year. Sample stratified sampling method was used in the sample selection. In order to collect the necessary data for the research, Personal Information Form, Schwartz Portrait Values Survey and Bullying Tendencies Scale were used.In the study, the distribution of the scores belonging to dependent variables at the pores of the subunits of the independent variables was analyzed in terms of the assumptions of normality. In the analysis process, non-parametric statistical methods were preferred. For this purpose, data were tested in accordance with the sub-problems of the research using descriptive analysis (mean and standard deviation) and non-parametric analysis such as Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H test. In analysis of the data, statistical package software program was used and the significance level of p<.05 was taken.A significant level of difference was found between total value scores of students according to their classes and the number physical education and sports courses taken by those students. A significant level of difference was found between total bullying tendency scores of students by their genders, the number physical education and sports courses taken by those students and the students' family income. A significant level of difference was found between total bullying tendency scores of students by the type of schools they attend. A significant level of difference was found between total value scores of students according to the type of schools they attend. A moderate negative relationship was found between the total value scores and total bullying tendency scores of students. Accordingly, as the total value scores of student increase, their bullying tendency scores decrease.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the general self-efficacy beliefs of licensed swimming referees who actively serve in Turkish Swimming Federation in terms of variables age, gender, educational status, level of referee, the reason to become a referee, professional experience and satisfaction level. The population of the study is composed of a total of 450 swimming referees participating to the Swimming Referee Development Seminar in Antalya in 2016. In addition, the research sample is randomly selected by 212 swimming referees (6 FINA, 74 National and 132 Provincial referees) including 95 females and 117 males were selected in this seminar. A five-point likert-scale “General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES)”, which was developed by Sherer et al. (1982), presented by Magaletta and Oliver (1999) as 17 items and adapted into Turkish culture by Yıldırım and İlhan (2010), was used in the study as data collection tool. Necessary formal permissions were obtained from Turkish Swimming Federation for the scale applied to the referees. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, factor analysis, an independent samples t test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Post-Hoc test (Tukey HSD) were applied to data by using SPSS Statistics. An analysis with p<0.05 is considered statistically significant. Cronbach Alpha value was calculated as .949 for the scale. As a result of factorial analysis, two factors with an eigenvalue greater than one were obtained, and it was observed that these two factorial structures revealed 62.63% of the total variance. In addition, according to Bartlett’s test, this test was considered significant (p<0.05). As a result of the study, it was found that the swimming referees showed significant differences in terms of the variables of general self-efficacy beliefs such as level of referee, the reason to become a referee, professional experience and satisfaction level and it can be said that these variables are the determinants of the self-efficacy beliefs of swimming referees.
Öz: Amaç: Bu çalışma Fırat Üniversitesi Rekreasyon Bölümü öğrencilerinin serbest zaman ve sportif açıdan serbest zaman faaliyetlerine katılımlarının incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yöntem: Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak katılımcıların serbest zaman ve sportif açıdan serbest zaman faaliyetlerine katılımlarını ölçmeye yönelik 3 bölümden oluşan bir anket kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS paket programından faydalanılarak frekans, yüzde analizleri, crosstabs ve ki-kare testi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu Fırat Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi Rekreasyon Bölümü öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır (70 erkek ve 30 kız). Katılımcıların Bulgular: 1 haftalık serbest zaman süreleri (%56) 8 saat ve üstüdür. Evdeki serbest zamanlarını %34 TV izleyerek, %18'i müzik dinleyerek, %14'ü spor yaparak geçirmektedir. Ayrıca spor yapanların çoğunluğu erkektir. Ev dışındaki serbest zamanlarda ise %71'i spor yapmaktadır. Katılımcıların çoğunluğu (%32) serbest zaman faaliyetlerinin eğlenceli ve (%22) mutluluk verdiğini ifade etmiştir. Sonuç: Çalışma sonunda serbest zaman ve sportif açıdan serbest zaman faaliyetlerine katılım konusunda cinsiyet değişkenine göre katılımcıların fakültelerinde olmasını istedikleri serbest zaman değerlendirme faaliyet alanları açısından anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Erkeklerin daha çok sınıflar ve bölümler arası sportif müsabakalar, bayanların ise sağlık için spor programlarına talepleri olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sportif açıdan erkeklerin futbol, taekwando ve yüzme ağırlıklı tercih nedeni iken, bayanlarda ise halk oyunlarının ağırlıklı tercih nedeni olduğu görülmüştür. Abstract: Objective:This study was aimed to investigation of the leisure activities of Firat University Recreation Department students in terms of leisure activities and sports. Method: A questionnaire consisting of 3 parts was used to measure the leisure participation as a data tool of the participants in the study and in terms of leisure activities and sports. Frequency, percentage analysis, crosstabs and Chi-square test was used to analyze the data. Experimental group consisted of Firat University Sports Science Faculty Recreation department students (70 males and 30 females). Results: 1 weekly leisure time of the participants (56%) was 8 hours and up. Participants spend their time by watching TV 34%, listening to music 18%, doing sport 14% at home. Also the majority of participants who doing sport was men. 71% of them are doing sport in their free time outside. Most of them (32%) expressed that leisure activities are fun and happiness (22%). Conclusion: At the end of the our research, it has been found that there are significant differences in terms of leisure activities and sports in participate to the leisure activities according to the gender variable of the participations who want to be areas of leisure assessment in their faculty. ÖZETBu çalışmanın amacı, elit bayan basketbol takımı ve elit bayan hentbol takımı oyuncularının fiziksel uygunluk parametrelerindeki farklılıklarının incelenmesidir. Araştırmaya 2004-2005 sezonunda Türkiye 1. liglerinde şampiyon olmuş Fenerbahçe bayan basketbol takımı (N=12) ve Üsküdar Anadolu bayan hentbol takımı (N=12) oyuncuları katılmıştır. Araştırmadaki tüm ölçümler (boy uzunluğu, vücut ağırlığı, dikey sıçrama testi, otur-eriş testi, mekik koşusu, 20 metre sprint, beden kitle indeksi (BKİ), anaerobik güç, sırt kuvveti, bacak kuvveti ve sağ-sol pençe kuvveti testleri) her iki takım oyuncularına uygulanmıştır.Araştırmada elde edilen tüm veriler SPSS istatistik programında kaydedilerek, Descriptive analizleri (X ve S.S.) ve MannWhitney U testi uygulanarak 2 farklı branştaki sporcuların parametreleri p<0,05 ve p<0,01 düzeyinde birbirleri ile karşılaştırmaları yapılmıştır.Sonuç olarak, elit bayan basketbol ve hentbol takım sporlarında üst düzey yarışmalarda başarılı olabilmek ve optimal performans elde edebilmek için teknik ve taktik becerilerin yanında yüksek derecede fiziksel uygunluk kapasitesi gerekmektedir. Çalışmamızda elit bayan basketbolcu ve hentbolcuların fiziksel uygunluk parametreleri karşılaştırıldıklarında boy parametresi açısından basketbolcular lehine bir durum görünürken, diğer fiziksel özelliklerde herhangi bir farklılık bulunamamıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Basketbol, hentbol, fiziksel uygunluk COMPARISON OF THE PHYSICAL FITNESS PARAMETERS OF THE ELITE FEMALE BASKETBALL AND FEMALE HANDBALL PLAYERS ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to investigate to differences in the physical fitness parameters of the players of elite female basketball team and elite female handball team. Fenerbahçe female basketball team (N=12) and Üsküdar Anadolu female handball team players (N=12) participated to the study became the champion of the years of 2004-2005 in the first leagues in Turkish. All measurements in the study (height, weight, vertical jump, sit and reach, shuttle run, 20m sprint, body mass index (BMI), anaerobic power, back power, leg power and right-left hand grip tests) were applied for two teams players.All data was edited in SPSS program. It was compared with parameters of athletes from two different teams using Descriptive analysis (X and S.S.) and Mann-Whitney U test in level of p<0,05 and p<0,01.As a result, it is need to high degree physical fitness capacity as well as the techniques and the tactics skills to being successful and obtain an optimal performance for elite athletes in top level competitions. In the compare of the physical fitness parameters of the elite female basketball and female handball players, there was no significant differences between teams in view of physical fitness parameters except for height parameters which related to basketball players positively.
HENTBOL BASKETBOL VOLEYBOL KLASMAN HAKEMLERİNİN İŞ DOYUMU DÜZEYLERİN İNCELENMESİ ÖZETBu çalışma; hentbol, basketbol ve voleybol liglerinde görev yapan 222 klasman hakeminin iş doyumu düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. İstatistiksel veriler için, one way anova ve LSD testi uygulanmıştır. Ölçüm aracı olarak, birinci bölümde hakemlerin demografik özelliklerini belirlemeye yönelik değerlendirme yapılmış, ikinci bölümde ise "Minnesota iş doyumu ölçeği" kısa bir formu kullanılmıştır. Hakemlerin, yaşlarına ve branşlarına göre iş doyumu düzeyleri istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı olarak bulunmuştur. İyi bir maç yönetebilmek, ekonomik yönden rahat ve üst seviyede olunması bakımdan önemlidir.
