Mayoritas family caregiver mendampingi pasien kanker selama <12 bulan (56%). Rata-rata beban family caregiver selama merawat pasien kanker adalah 2,25 yang berarti mereka merasa sedikit terbebani. Identifikasi dini diperlukan untuk mencegah penurunan kualitas hidup family caregiver.
Performing electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings using the standard method presents a challenge to healthcare practitioners because of the need to precisely locate the six precordial electrodes or lead according to the six thoracic landmarks. A new method using precordial lead ECG SafOne was introduced to healthcare professionals and compared to the precordial lead standard. The study aims to identify the correlation between healthcare practitioners’ education and the usability of the precordial ECG SafOne. This study employed a quantitative descriptive design using a user-centered design survey method. Two hundred twenty-eight healthcare practitioners, including doctors and nurses from three hospitals in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia, participated in this study and were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Evaluation variables assessment was collected using the precordial ECG SafOne questionnaire. The data analysis used was Spearman Rho to identify the correlation between the two variables investigated. Demographic data depicts that most of the participants were nurses 215 (94.2%), healthcare practitioners education background with Diploma 107 (46%), registered nurses 108 (47.4%), and Doctors 13 (5.7%), and average age was the early adult stage, 103 participants (45.2%). The bivariate analysis results show a correlation between healthcare practitioners’ education and usability of the precordial ECG SafOne with a p-value of 0.029 (p-value < 0.05). In conclusion, healthcare practitioners appraise the precordial ECG SafOne as an effective, applicable, practical, and renovate tool and valuable for electrocardiogram recordings in patients with cardiovascular diseases. Electrocardiography (ECG or EKG) is one of the essential cardiac diagnostic tests to record the heart’s electrical activities. However, errors in precordial lead placement causes invalid ECG recordings. The invention of precordial lead ECG SafOne aims to reduce these errors. This study aimed to apply the precordial lead ECG SafOne to patients with cardiovascular diseases and compare it to the standard ECG in relation to the presence of artefacts and placement time duration. This study employed the experimental research design with a post-test-only equivalent control group approach with a sample size of 60 outpatients undergoing an ECG test. Data on artefacts and placement time duration from ECG SafOne and standard ECG were identified and measured. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon test to examine the difference in all the variables collected. The results showed no substantial difference related to the artefacts emerging from ECG SafOne and standard ECG with a p-value of 0.083 (> 0.005). In addition, placement time duration using ECG SafOne is faster than standard ECG (p=0.000). To conclude, ECG SafOne is more practical and efficient than standard ECG. This tool produces ECG recordings with no significant difference from standard ECG. Therefore, ECG SafOne is applicable for electrocardiography recording for patients with cardiovascular diseases.
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death globally and the main problem of non-communicable diseases. Prevention is part of cardiovascular disease treatment because it breaks the chain of management and subsequent complications from the disease. Its foundation is based on the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, as well as appropriate identification and treatment for cardiovascular risk factors. This study aimed to identify risk factors for cardiovascular diseases in patients with cardiovascular diseases. A descriptive study was performed with proportionate stratified random sampling and 88 patients with cardiovascular diseases participated in this study. Data were collected in one of general hospitals in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. The risk factors of cardiovascular disease patients were assessed using a questionnaire. Descriptive analysis statistic was used to describe risk factors of cardiovascular disease. Moreover, 80% of patients completed the questionnaire. The results showed that the majority of respondents (56.8%) had hypercholesterolemia. The results showed that most respondents (73) had a smoking history (83%). The result showed that most of the patients (64.8%) with cardiovascular disease have no family history of heart attacks. The result showed that the majority of the respondents (69.3%) had a family history of hypertension. Over 92% of respondents were unable to do strenuous activities and 79.5% were unable to do moderate activities even once a week. Early assessment and education about risk factors of cardiovascular diseases are important for the prevention and promotion of health.
