Proses pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler Bahasa Inggris di beberapa sekolah diKabupaten Blitar memiliki beberapa kelemahan: belum tersedia bahan ajarmemadai untuk pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler, rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, dan kurangnya pengembangan bahan ajar inovatif bagi guru. Melihat kondisi tersebut, diperlukan bahan ajaryang sesuai dan menarik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berbahasaInggris. Peserta pada pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi guru, dosen, danmahasiswa dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Peserta yang mengikuti programpelatihan berjumlah 57 peserta melalui Zoom meeting. Setelah Zoom meeting,peserta diberikan waktu selama satu hari untuk membuat karya bahan ajar.Berdasarkan analisis rubrik, rata-rata nilai peserta pada aspek kebaruan ide,kreativitas, dan kesesuaian game dengan materi adalah baik (skor 3). Hal inimenunjukkan bahwa pemaparan materi dan pendampingan pembuatan karyabahan ajar berjalan efektif. Selain memahami konsep dan teori, peserta jugamampu mengembangkan suatu konsep permainan untuk pembelajaran bahasaInggris bagi anak-anak. Secara umum, konsep yang mereka ciptakan memilikiunsur kebaruan dan kreativitas yang baik, serta relevan dengan pembelajaranbahasa Inggris di level sekolah dasar.
Abstract. Referring to the result of Indonesia National Assessment Programme in 2017, the literacy (reading and writing skills) of elementary school students were still low, that is, only 46.83%. This condition needs to be improved, and one of the ways to enhance it is by implementing Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS)/School Literacy Movement. This community service aims to improve the students’ writing skill as en effort to implement the GLS. This community service was conducted in the form of training of story writing. The training was implemented at one of the Islamic Elementary School in Blitar, East Java. The participants of the training included the students of grade 4, 5, and 6, totalling 52 students. The training was conducted by applying flipped classroom. The material is given to the students in the form of video that they should learn online, and subsequently they were given face-to-face writing guidance in the classroom. The results showed that the students were able to create a story about their experiences during the pandemic. The analysis of students’ writing revealed that the students’ abilities in composing a text was good. These abilities include developing ideas and using proper words and sentence structure. However, most of the students still encountered difficulties in using mechanics of writing, such as capitalization and punctuation. This needs to be followed up by intensifying writing activity at school, and generating other trainings to enhance the students’ writing skill.
The purpose of this research is a solution by designing a modern learning media namely windows and android-based multi-platform educational game for Islamic education students that is inserted with reading materials based on the curriculum of english in Islamic educational institution subject for grade 7 students of tsanawiyah school (MTs). This game was designed by utilizing construct 2 software. This research produces a multi-platform educational game namely the Adventure of Timun Mas. Material and media validations were performed by some experts who are competent in their fields. Material validation was done by english teachers of Junior High School and english education lecturers. Meanwhile, media validation was performed by practitioners, game developer, and Informatics Engineering lecturers. From the result of both material and media validation, each validator was summed, and then divided by the overall score and multiplied by 100%. The final result of product validation was 82.95%, indicating that The Adventure of Timun Mas game is valid to use.
Nowdays, The development of water dispensers has hot and cold water technology, but fills water into cold and hot water storage tanks by lifting and putting the gallons on top of the dispenser so that water can flow into hot and cold water storage tanks, this is assessed less efficient. The purpose of making this tool is to make it easier for users to install gallons without having to lift the gallon and put it on top of the reservoir, it can also facilitate the taking of drinking water without having to press or open the faucet first. Because in modern era, the need for tools that work automatically and efficiently are increasing. The results of this study indicate that automatic water and faucet filler devices in dispensers using ultrasonic sensors as a whole work well and are in accordance with the function specified. The function of the ultrasonic sensor is as a reader the maximum limit of water level in the reservoir, so that when the water is in its maximum state, the pump will stop filling the reservoir. And the ultrasonic sensor in front of the dispenser functions to read the glass, the sensor will detect and then be received by the microcontroller and continue to execute the relay and open the selenoid so that the water can come out.
