AbstrakBanyak usaha yang telah dilakukan pemerintah untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah, seperti menerbitkan Peraturan Pemerintah RI Nomor 19 tahun 2005 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan. Institusi pendidikan juga tidak ketinggalan dengan mengadakan kegiatan ilmiah yang dapat mengembangkan potensi guru melalui seminar, pelatihan, workshop dan lainnya secara berkelanjutan sehingga guru menjadi profesional yang mempunyai kemampuan meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di sekolah yang pada akhirnya peningkatan mutu pendidikan akan terwujud dan menjadi kenyataan. Artikel ini membahas faktor-faktor peningkatan mutu pendidikan, unsur-unsur peningkatatan mutu pendidikan serta strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Kata kunci: mutu pendidikan.Pendidikan merupakan faktor utama dalam pembentukan pribadi manusia.
Discussing the radicalism of religion and global terrorism is a global challenge that is now a worldwide concern, including for the Islamic community in Indonesia. Research in this paper with an analytical descriptive approach using the documentative method. The general purpose of this research is to understand the root causes of terrorism and religious radicalism in Indonesia? What is the solution of Islam to overcome the problem of religious radicalism and global terrorism? The results of this research show: first, the historical roots of global terrorism and religious radicalism is a very complex portrait of social, political, and economic history. Also, the complexity of local, regional and global problems are interconnected with one another. Second, the Islamic solution to overcome this problem with the Islamic approach to peace for all (rahmatan lil alamin) which prioritizes the path of dialogue and world peace.
Abstract Natural environment should be cared and sustained. It is a place for human to live and develop their social and economical world. Moreover, it is also a site for many biodiversity to live together in a balanced ecosystem. Recently, global awareness is directed to the alarming destruction of environment and its' potential threats for human and other living things, as the impacts of human social-economical activities. Many efforts are executed to avoid or minimize future environmental damage. One of those endeavours is environmental education for young generation. Growing children's environmental knowledge, protection skills and management as well as caring and responsible character can be an endurant solution. This study aims to examine some learning aspects in environmental education through green school development in MI Walisongo, Desa Sawohan, Sidoarjo. The study is based on a qualitative inquiry conducted by using direct participant observation as its' data collection method. The study finds that environmental education requires a wide range of learning experiences, relating to emotion, direct practice and cognition development. In Green School MI Walisongo Desa Sawohan, those experiences are manifested into several learning processes: participative learning, modeling, character building, green site building, learning through game and peer team working.
AbstrakEmansipasi wanita dalam ajaran Islam selalu menjadi bahan diskusi yang menarik, karena ada anggapan bahwa ajaran Islam diskriminatif terhadap wanita. Benarkah Islam diskriminatif? Hal ini perlu diteliti dan dibuktikan. Dalam perspektif sejarah dapat dibuktikan bagaimana Islam telah mengangkat derajat wanita, ini dapat dilihat dengan mengkomparasikan kondisi wanita pra Islam dengan pasca Islam. Dari perspektif Syari'ah dapat dibuktikan bahwa hakikatnya tidak ada diskriminasi antara laki-laki dan wanita di hadapan hukum Islam. Perspektif Al-Qur'an juga membuktikan bahwa Allah selalu mendudukkan laki-laki dan wanita dalam posisi yang sama, tidak ada diskriminasi dalam Al-Qur'an. Berdasarkan tiga perspektif di atas, terbukti bahwa Islam telah mengangkat derajat kaum wanita, sehingga terjadi kesetaraan antara wanita dengan laki-laki. Dalam Islam ada bagian ajaran yang bersifat absolut dan ada yang bersifat relatif; yaitu yang merupakan ajaran-ajaran pokok (ushul) yang ada dalam Al-Qur'an dan As-Sunnah, dan yang merupakan hasil pemikiran manusia (ijtihad) tentang perincian dan penjabaran (furu') tentang cara pelaksanaan ajaran-ajaran pokok tersebut. Dalam berijtihad manusia sangat mungkin terpengaruh oleh budaya yang ada, termasuk yang masih patrilineal. Sementara itu teks-teks Al-Qur'an dan Hadts (ajaran pokok) telah menggariskan prinsip dan semangat kesetaraan jender, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan reinterpretasi untuk menghasilkan pemahaman-pemahaman yang sesuai dengan prinsip dan semangat ajaran pokok Islam tersebut.
This study aims to analyze the role of social capital in community development in disaster prone areas. The study was conducted in a disaster-prone area of Mount Kelud, Sempu Village, Ngancar District, Kediri Regency after the eruption in 2014. The study used a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The results showed that after the eruption in 2014, social capital in the community became a source of strength in community development in the Mount Kelud disaster-prone areas, especially in the process of restoring the social and economic life of the Sempu village community. Social ties, trusts, social networks that are strongly intertwined are the elements of social capital that are still strong which are found in the study area. The results of the study also found a responsive, innovative and transparent leadership pattern developed by the Village Head helped accelerate the recovery process of the socio-economic life of the Sempu village community. The results of the study also revealed that the social capital owned by the local community was tested for strength when dealing with external forces such as the presence of institutions and volunteers involved in the recovery process. This situation triggered tensions between residents and the apparatus assigned to distribute aid.
