The current paper focused on investigating the role an Abusive Supervision Climate (ASC) plays in Prohibitive Voice behavior of workers in Pakistani service industry. Sample from 330 pairs of supervisors and subordinates was collected from public sector banks, universities and hospitals. It was identified that social learning from the climate is a significant source of learned abusive behavior which leads to rumination and voice behavior in employees. The purpose of this study is to present an analysis on the impact of spiritual intelligence on the organizational commitment of the employees and their performance. It also looks at the mediating role of organization commitment between the spiritual intelligence and employee performance in the Telecom sector of Pakistan. Relationship of the seven major themes of the spiritual intelligence also known as dimensions of spiritual intelligence have also been individually tested with organization commitment. Questionnaire distribution method was used to conduct this research. The total numbers of respondents were 258. Respondents belong to different service providers and mobile phone operators. People surveyed are all employees of the stated companies. The findings of this research paper indicate that all of the dimensions spiritual intelligence are positively correlated with organizational commitment and there is a significant evidence that the organizational commitment serves as a mediator between the spiritual intelligence and employee performance. This paper encourages the companies that they should focus on the development and promotion of the spiritual intelligence in the employees in order to increase their level of organizational commitment and performance.
This study has proposed to apply change leadership as a vehicle forward for sustaining the growth of the tourism industry to eradicate poverty through the Pakistani tourism industry. Applying a mixed method approach, this article has attempted to uncover the role a change leader can play to help achieve the United Nations’ sustainable development goals of poverty reduction. In this study, one of the authors interviewed stakeholders of the tourism industry to find out the major drivers of the industry and identify the leadership style that may prove to be effective in the said industry. In the next phase of the study, a survey method approach was used where different tourism companies and hotel chains were included for analysis. The study aimed to check employee’s perception of change leadership and its impact on their resilience and ultimately the sustainable organization performance of companies’ operationalizing in the sector with moderating impact of sustainable tourism attitude in times of a crisis. In total, 430 full-time workers in the tourism industry were contacted for a self-administered survey achieving a response rate of 83%. The findings of the study confirmed that in the presence of a change leader, the process of adaptation to sudden changing situations amidst financial crises, pandemic, and climatic change, becomes bearable and employees can cope with the work situations without pushing them to quit the industry. The study has a significant contribution toward a rapidly growing and focused industry, which can play a major role in the economy of any country leading toward job creation and poverty reduction.
The purpose of this study is to present an analysis on the impact of the organizational factors such as abusive supervision, Ostracism and work place bullying on the performance of and employee. We have also tested the moderating impact of the spiritual intelligence on the relationship between these organizational factors and the employee performance. The survey was conducted in the banking sector of Pakistan. Questionnaire distribution method was used to conduct this research. The total numbers of respondents were 365 in which the respondents were professionals belonging to different banks. The findings of this research paper indicate that due to the presence of factors such as employees get demotivated and their performance lowers down. But if they have high spiritual intelligence their experiences can be enhanced at their work place. This paper encourages the companies that they should on the development and promotion of the spiritual intelligence and policies that support employees to change work attitudes.
