Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan studi analisis tentang pengaruh penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan media komik terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode meta-analisis. Meta-analisis merupakan hasil analisis dari artikel-artikel dari jurnal nasional yang sudah terakreditasi pada sinta 1 hingga sinta 4 yang memiliki topik kajian berkaitan dengan pendekatan saintifik dan media komik dalam pembelajaran IPA sebanyak 15 artikel jurnal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data didapatkan hasil bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan media komik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, keterampilan berpikir ilmiah, meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa dan efektif meningkatkan literasi sains siswa.
The aim of this study is to explore the concepts and models of integration implemented by Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM). USIM was chosen as the focus of this study because of its firm commitment to the implementation of integration. For instance, the USIM vision statement makes it clear that the university has an ambition to become a “leader in the integration of naqli and aqli knowledge”. The method of data collection used in this study involved the analysis of document and interviews. Documentation was used to obtain data related to integration concepts and models applied in USIM. Then, interviews were conducted to gather information from key informant to supplement the findings from the documentation. It was found that the integration concepts and models applied at USIM consist of four categories or levels namely: al-nusus (ayatization), al-muqaranah (comparison), al-taqyim (adaptation) and at-tafaqquh (integration). These four concepts were have been implemented in detail in the learning process, as well as in research and community development.
Forest fires are one of the most frequent environmental problems in Riau province, which often comes in large scale; thus, they cause forest degradation that damages economic, ecological and social aspects. The forest fires in Riau primarily caused by weak regulations and their enforcement and the lack of an optimum system or institutional mechanisms to address this issue. One alternative solution that is often forgotten is the role of education in forest fires prevention, particularly in the education of local wisdom. The education is required to minimize the risk of forest and land fires; hence it could be used a reference for the Riau government. This study aimed to identify and analyze local wisdom in the community to prevent forest and land fires, including the challenges, potentials, and solutions.
Some MI teachers do not understand about the expanding universe in Islamic and scientific perspectives. So the authors are interested in raising the analysis of this problem. The aim of the study was to find out the understanding of teachers and prospective MI teachers in the field of science studies about the expanding universe in Islamic and scientific perspectives. The type of this research is survey research. Which research phase used is quantitative descriptive. Analysis of the data is to calcify data, test hypotheses, analyze findings and make conclusions. Based on the results of the questionnaire it was found that the teacher's understanding of the universe expanded in Islamic perspective and science were in the category of understanding.
Penyandang tuna grahita sering mendapat perlakuan marginal dari masyarakat luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan meninjau bagaimana peran orang tua dalam proses akseptabilitas masyarakat terhadap anak-anak penyandang tuna grahita di kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan tinjauan rasionalitas Weber dalam melihat peran-peran yang dilakukan orang tua kepada anaknya yang menyandang tuna grahita. Dengan metode kualitatif melalui pendekatan fenomenologis peneliti melihat bahwa setiap orang tua mempunyai rasionalitas sendiri mengenai tindakan atau peran yang dilakukannya yang mengarah pada penerimaan masyarakat terhadap anaknya yang menyandang tuna grahita. Peran yang dilakukan oleh para orang tua itu tergantung pada sikap atau reaksi mereka terhadap kehadiran anaknya yang menyandang tuna grahita. Orang tua yang dapat menerima keadaan anaknya akan berusaha semaksimal mungkin untuk mendidik dan membawa anaknya beradaptasi dan melakukan interaksi sosial dengan masyarakat, sehingga masyarakat pun menjadi lebih mudah untuk menerima keadaan anak penyandang tuna grahita tersebut. Sebaliknya, orang tua yang sulit menerima kondisi anaknya yang menyandang tuna grahita, akan berusaha membatasi ruang gerak dan ruang interaksi sosial anak, sehingga masyarakat pun cendrung sulit menerima keterbatasan dan kehadiran anak penyandang tuna grahita.
