It is well known that the production of green feed is very important for the cultivation of farm animals. Green food actually plays a major role in feeding dairy animals. This type of feed provides essential nutrients for milk production as well as the health of dairy animals. Recently, more and more questions arise to the ecology of feed, the soils on which they grow. In Russia, the flagship of scientific research in this matter is the V. R. all-Russian Williams feed production research Institute (WFRI). Forage production, as a scientific discipline, is focused on the study of forage agro ecosystems. The article describes the new results of the Institute in the cultivation of environmentally friendly forage crops and seed propagation, production of field feed and pasture management. Results of research of ecological technologies for preservation and use of forages, technologies of grain-fodder production and utilization are resulted.
One of the negative factors that affects human health is dust. Particularly high dust exposure in megacities. There are no unambiguous approaches to solving this problem. A lot depends on the geographical location of the metropolis. Therefore, for each city, it is necessary to conduct personal research on the situation with the formation of dust from various objects in the climatic conditions of the city. In addition, the composition of urban dust is complex, which depends on many factors. In the study, it is necessary to determine the main sources of dust and the possibility of reducing their activity. It is also necessary to establish the nature of the medium (e.g. dispersion system, etc.) in which dust is present. An important point is the chemical composition of the dust. It is especially important to know about the presence of dangerous chemical elements or radioactive particles in it. The paper shows that wind flows on the one hand contribute to reducing the level of dust, on the other hand, when it is polluted, they sharply worsen the environmental situation. In modern cities, a decrease in green spaces, especially trees, is planned. This fact also needs to be considered as one of the options for reducing dust load. Special attention should be paid to the methods of rapid monitoring of the air environment in real time. Their use will help in time to take the necessary measures to block dust sources.
The possibility of identifying aqueous suspensions of protein-vitamin concentrates (paprin and gaprin) from the measurements of the light scattering matrix has been studied. Based on the real part of the refractive index determined by laser phase microscopy for paprin and gaprin, the scattering matrices of their dispersions in water were modelled. A theoretical analysis of the angular variations of the scattering-matrix elements has shown that the most reliable identification can be practically implemented in the spectral region, where the absorption of light by dispersed particles of at least one of the compared suspensions is small.
The article substantiates the need to search for new solutions to increase crop yield through the use of new fertilizers. One of the options was proposed in this article. During the operation of nuclear power plants, by products are formed in the form of inert gases, for example, an isotope nitrogen-16, or helium-3 and helium-4, or xenon-133 and xenon-135. They are quite difficult to filter out of the air. If they are filtered into the atmosphere, other gas formations will pass. Therefore, the design of a cryogenic unit was developed for their deposition on the walls of the pipeline (transfer to a liquid state). In this case, they are separated by using different temperatures. Each liquid mixture is placed in its container. In autumn, these mixtures are transported to agricultural fields and spreads out. Experiments have shown that the use of these mixtures can increase the potato yield by two times compared to the case of no use of fertilizers. When comparing the results of the research of the potato yield grown using manure from domestic animals and compost with the yield obtained using a liquid mixture of the noble gas, it was established that the yield is lower by 60 % and 40 %.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
