The purpose of this research was to analyze the effects of smart learning. By using meta analysis method, twenty MA and Ph.D degree papers published from 2006 to 2013 were analyzed and 104 effect sizes were calculated. Followings were the results of the research: (a) Smart learning turned out to be more statistically effective comparing to traditional education. The total mean effect size was .886 and the value of U3 was 66.53%. (b) All effect size of sub dependent variables(ie, academic achievement, learning satisfaction, learning attitude) were also effective by adapting smart learning. (c) The moderated variables likes learner characteristics, learning content, and interaction had high effect sizes. Operation system variable had a low effect size but it was not significant.
A sensitive and rapid high-performance liquid chromatographic-tandem mass spectrometric (HPLC/ MS/MS) assay was developed for the determination of soyasaponins in soybean. Among soyasaponins, soyasaponin I was isolated and characterized from methanol extracts of soybean as analytical standards and the development of a new analytical procedure for quantification of its content in various cultivars. The structures of these compound was elucidated by 1 H, 13 C NMR experiments and by mass spectrometric analysis. Aqueous ethanol extracts of soybean samples were injected on an Agilent XDB-C18 column (4.6 mm × 50 mm, 1.8 μm) with a mobile phase consisting of 10 mM ammonium acetate-acetonitrile, a flow rate of 0.3 mL/min and a total run time of 8 min. Detection was performed by mass spectrometer bin the multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode with negative electrospray ionization (ESI) m/z at 941 ⟶ 615 for soyasaponin I. In the 9 soybean samples, contents of soyasaponin I ranged from 205 to 726 mg/kg, and correlated negatively with seed size.
Rice bran is by-product from the dehulling process of rice, an important staple food in Korea. Various studies have been reported immune-enhancing effects of rice bran cultured with Lentinus edodes. In particular black rice bran that contains anthocyanin has the beneficial effects on immune system. SuperC3GHi, a recently released black colored rice cultivar, has higher contents of cyanidine-3-glucoside (C3G), a strong antioxidant than those of currently cultivated black rice cultivars. In this study, we investigate the beneficial effects of fermented SuperC3GHi rice bran (C3G-F) with Lentinus edodes. Using in vivo and in vitro model for inflammation and allgergy, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects of C3G-F were determined. C3G-F induced tumor suppressive effect on Sarcoma-180 cell and B16 melanoma cell injected to mice. These results suggest that the capacity of C3G-F seems to act as a potent immunomodulator and with the absence of notable sideeffects, C3G-F could be used as a novel functional food ingredient having possible therapeutic effects against immunological disorders.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
