“…The process of determining the optimal percentage of nanoclay using the solution blending method is explained elsewhere. 57 In brief, three different weight percentages of nanoclay (0.2, 0.4, and 0.8 wt.%) were added to the epoxy, and according to the results of tensile and 3-point bending tests, the optimal weight percentage of nanoclay (0.2 wt.%) was obtained. Then, the nanocomposite laminates containing optimal nanoclay contents were prepared by the VIP method in the second step.
