“…Consequently, a comparative study of the genetic diversity of C. ficifolia in some regions of Mexico was recently performed using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP).The fruit was found to possess hypoglycemic properties regardless of the morphological characteristics and the region of Mexico where it is grown. 18 On the other hand, respiration rate is known to be an excellent indicator of the metabolic activity of plant organs and a very useful guide to the potential life of horticultural products.
