Anesthetic Influences on Myocardial and Hepatic Energy Metabolism in Hemorrhaged Spontaneous Hypertensive Rats.

Abstract: Twenty four spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) were used to assess the influence of anesthetics on myocardial and hepatic energy metabolism after hemorrhage. They were divided into four groups : a control group and three others which received pentobarbital (60 mg. kg-' ip), 2.2% enflurane, or 1.4% isoflurane.
