This study aimed to examine students’ attitudes toward Indonesian language from public and private universities in Indonesia. Additionally, this study examined what aspects are considered unfavorable or adverse from students' attitudes towards the Indonesian language. The online questionnaires with 30 statements were used to collect the data from 812 students from public universities and 705 students from private universities. The instrument's validity was carried out by two methods of testing, namely the content validity test and the testing. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics with Independent T-test sample test. The findings revealed that students' attitudes towards Indonesian both from state universities and private universities were both in a good category, and there was no difference in the results of the different test attitudes with a significance value of 0.970. In terms of the aspects of loyalty and pride towards Indonesian, it was in a sufficient category. The findings also indicated that students’ attitudes in public and private universities were categorized as sufficient. For this reason, lecturers who teach the Indonesian personality development course further foster students’ awareness to be loyal and proud of the Indonesian language by prioritizing Indonesian in every academic activity. It is necessary to develop a sense of loyalty, pride, and awareness of norms towards the Indonesian language even higher.

The focus of this research is the port city of Parepare in the Dutch Colonial period. The problem posed is how the form of urban planning and the factors that influence the form of the city of Parepare in the Dutch Colonial period. The method used is the determination of the dimensions of Colonial buildings based on inscriptions, texts and interviews. Mapping of building layout and road network as well as analysis of building functions, urban space organizations, and analysis of the factors forming city spatial planning are also carried out. The results of the study indicate that the city planning of Parepare consists of three zones. The first zone is the core of the city occupied by the Dutch government as the center of government. The second zone is the Chinatown area, intended for economic activities. The third zone is for indigenous settlements. The shape of the city extends from north to south following the coastline. The road network in the city center has a grid pattern. The dominant factor affecting the shape of the city of Parepare is geopolitical and security factors, to maintain the conduciveness of the western coastal region of South Sulawesi.Fokus penelitian ini adalah Kota pelabuhan Parepare pada periode Kolonial Belanda. Permasalahan yang diajukan adalah bagaimana bentuk tata kota dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi bentuk tata kota Parepare pada periode Kolonial Belanda. Metode yang digunakan adalah penentuan dimensi bangunan Kolonial berdasarkan prasasti, naskah dan hasil wawancara. Pemetaan tata letak bangunan dan jaringan jalan serta analisis fungsi bangunan, organisasi ruang kota, dan analisis faktor pembentuk tata ruang kota juga dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata kota Parepare terdiri dari tiga zona. Zona pertama merupakan inti kota ditempati oleh pemerintah Belanda sebagai pusat pemerintahan. Zona kedua adalah kawasan pecinan, diperuntukkan untuk kegiatan perekonomian. Zona ketiga diperuntukkan untuk pemukiman pribumi. Bentuk kota memanjang dari utara ke selatan mengikuti garis pantai. Jaringan jalan pada pusat kota berpola grid. Faktor yang dominan mempengaruhi bentuk kota Parepare adalah faktor geo-politik dan keamanan, untuk menjaga kondusifnya wilayah pesisir barat Sulawesi Selatan.

Nowadays, the term millennial has been heard very often. Millennials or Generation Y are the generation born in the 1980s - early 2000s. At this time, the millennial generation has an age range of 25-40 years and is in the position of the sandwich generation. The sandwich generation itself is the people who are squeezed between the demands of two generations at once, namely parents and children plus the demands of their own life. The sandwich generation now carries a fairly heavy burden considering their lifetimes that have passed the generational transition line which is quite extreme. This study aims: 1) To know the definition of millennials and the sandwich generation in depth. 2) Studying more about the role of millennials who are also the sandwich generation. 3) Knowing the adaptation pattern of the millennial generation and the sandwich generation in the industrial 4.0 era. And this writing uses a descriptive qualitative research methodology by using many data variables that are appropriate in order to produce directed and accountable writing. As technology is developing, everything is moving fast. Likewise, the current generation must adapt to conditions that are far different from the early life they lived. So that this significant difference affects many social aspects in terms of the intergenerational relationship which then gives birth to a mindset and parenting pattern that is qualified by the times.
