Betterment of ecological parameters of a diesel engine using Brown‘s gas

Abstract: Hydrogen could become an important element, allowing us to accumulate and transfer energy in a clean way. Hydrogen can be used in cars as a fuel additive which increases the combustion efficiency of the fuel-air mixture. A small amount of hydrogen gas could also be produced in a car by decomposing water by means of electrolysis, using for this purpose the energy produced by the car's electric power generator. The hydrogen and oxygen (HHO) mixture obtained, which is also known as Brown's gaseous mixture, is sup… Show more

“…The start of the injection (SOI) was controlled by the Engine Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and it was a single injection strategy. Figure 1 presents a detailed image of the tested engine and its parts, while research conducted by other authors [52][53][54][55] and Table 2 lists the test engine parameters.…”

“…The cold start and the cold operational procedure of buses must be optimal both in the scope of environment protection and economic aspects (fuel consumption, wear and tear In case of applying diesel engines in motor vehicle operation, the dynamic characteristics of the engine are significant.
