A folding wing is a tactical missile launching device that needs to be miniaturised to facilitate storage, transportation, and launching; save missile and transportation space; and improve the combat capability of weapon systems. This study investigates the aeroelastic characteristics of the secondary longitudinal folding wing during the unfolding process. First, the Lagrange equation is used to establish the structural dynamics model of the folding wing, the kinematics characteristics during the deformation process are analysed, and the unfolding movement of the folding wing is obtained using the dynamic equations in the process. Then, the generalised unsteady aerodynamic force is calculated using the dipole grid method, and the multi-body dynamics equation of the folding wing is obtained. The initial angular velocity required for the deployment of the folding wing is analysed through structural model simulation, and the influence of the initial angular velocity on the opening process is studied. Finally, aeroelastic flutter analysis is performed on the folding wing, and the physical model of the folding wing verified experimentally. Results show that the type of aeroelastic response is sensitive to the initial conditions and the way the folding wing opens.

An innovative method of damping vibrations using a variable mass assembly will be presented in this article. The concept was based on a physical pendulum model consisting of two connected elements. Mass exchange between the upper and lower member of the pendulum is modelled as a gravity a fluid flow. With the passage of time, the mass of the upper member of pendulum decreases and the mass of the lower member of pendulum increases. It is assumed preserve the mass of the whole system. The article will also present the application possibilities and a review of currently used vibration dampers.

W artykule podjęto próbę opisu matematycznego i analizy zjawiska wymiany masy pomiędzy członami podwójnego wahadła fizycznego i jego wpływu na dynamikę układu. W badanym układzie wraz z upływem czasu następowało -pod wpływem grawitacji -zmniejszenie masy górnego członu i jednoczesne zwiększenie masy dolnego członu wahadła. Całkowita masa układu nie zmieniała się. Na potrzeby analizy wprowadzono bezwymiarowy czas i bezwymiarowe parametry, co pozwoliło na przedstawienie równań ruchu w postaci bezwymiarowej. Wykazano, że zmiana masy w układzie ma istotny wpływ na jego dynamikę. Wzrost masy dolnego członu wahadła zmniejsza amplitudę drgań. Obliczenia numeryczne przeprowadzono w programie Mathematica. SŁOWA KLUCZOWE: wymiana masy, podwójne wahadło, chaosThe article concerns considerations, whose the theme is to try to mathematical description and analysis of the study of the phenomenon of mass exchange between the members of double physical pendulum and its impact on the dynamics of the whole system. In the analyzed system, with time, under the influence of gravity, the mass of the upper member of pendulum decreases and the mass of the lower member of pendulum increases. The total mass of the system doesn't change. For the analysis introduced dimensionless time and dimensionless parameters, which allows the presentation of the equations of motion in dimensionless form. It has been shown that the change of mass in the system has a significant impact on the dynamics. The increase in mass of the lower member reduces the amplitude of vibration of the pendulum. The numerical calculations were performer in the Mathematica package. KEYWORDS: variable mass, double pendulum, chaosArtykuł stanowi kontynuację tematyki podjętej w pracach [4][5][6][7][8][9].
