Effect of Medium and Cytokinin Types on Banana Micropropagation during Multiplication Stage

Abstract: Banana (Musa spp. family Musaceae) is a fourth most important fruit crop in the world. This investigation was carried out in tissue culture laboratory in Horticulture Department, Agriculture Faculty, Suez Canal University, Ismailia during the period 2013 -2015, to study the effect of medium type (solid or liquid) and cytokinin types (BAP or Kin at 0, 1, 3, 5, 7 mg/l) during multiplication stage, in a complete randomized design with two factors.
