Background: Indonesia started the COVID-19 vaccination program in January 2021. West Sumatra, Indonesia, as one of the epicentres of the spread of COVID-19, has also begun the vaccination program. However, the Government has conducted no vaccine acceptance survey in this area as done in several other Indonesia regions. Aim: This study aims to see an overview of the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Methods: A descriptive research with a survey method using a questionnaire instrument given directly to the people of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The total respondents in this study amounted to 390 people based on inclusion criteria, with the method of taking accidental sampling. Results: This study showed that 38.2% of respondents were willing to be vaccinated, 27.9% refused to be vaccinated, and 33.8% had not decided to accept or reject the vaccine. Most respondents refused the vaccine with fear of side effects 42.9% and were concerned about vaccine safety 33.9%. More than half of the respondents (51.0%) wanted to vaccinate at public health centre. As many as 85.4% of respondents wanted to get more information about the COVID-19 vaccine being developed. Online platforms, print and electronic media are sources of information with about 40.5%, followed by face-to-face communication with 36.0% and social media with 23.5%. Conclusion: The people of Padang who stated that they were willing to undergo the COVID-19 vaccine program had not yet reached half of the number of respondents studied. However, this number has the opportunity to increase based on the enthusiastic trend of people who want to get more information about the COVID-19 vaccine. Providing correct and precise information should encourage the general public to participate in vaccination.

Covid-19 is a new virus that was discovered to have attacked humans in 2019. On February 16, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported 51,857 confirmed cases in 25 countries with 1,699 deaths. To stop the transmission of Covid-19, Indonesia is promoting a vaccination program for the Indonesian population, including reproductive women. The purpose of this study is to find out how the relationship between knowledge about Covid-19 of reproductive women and participation in carrying out Covid-19 vaccinations in the Pangkalan Kasai Health Center Working Area in 2022. This research method uses an analytical method with a cross sectional approach and sampling with the Snowball sampling method. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis which was tested using the Chi-square test using the SPSS application. This research was obtained in the Pangkalan Kasai Public Health Center in 2022, totaling 100 respondents by distributing questionnaires. The majority of reproductive women knowledge levels about Covid-19 were in the good category as many as 59 respondents (59%). Reproductive women participated in the Covid-19 vaccination as many as 93 respondents (93%). The results of statistical analysis showed p-value = 0.00 (α < 0.05) which stated that there was a relationship between reproductive women knowledge about Covid-19 and participation in carrying out Covid-19. Conclusions in this study knowledge about Covid-19 can increase reproductive women participation in carrying out Covid-19 vaccinations.

Latar belakang: infection SARS-CoV-2 yang menyerang sistem pernafasan manusia menyebabkan peradangan pada paru-paru. Pengetahuan merupakan sebuah persepsi seseorang mengenai suatu hal atau objek berupa makhluk hidup maupun benda yang didapatkan melalui panca indera. Vaksin adalah produk berisi antigen yang memberikan antibodi secara aktif terhadap suatu infeksi penyakit dalam mengendalikan penyakit menular. Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya vaksin akan mencegah terjadinya resiko penularan COVID-19. Tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan hubungan tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya vaksin dengan resiko penularan COVID-19 Di RT 007/002 Desa Segarjaya. Metode: Menggunakan Cross-sectional, kuantitatif korelasi dengan pengumpulan information preliminary Pengetahuan Masyarakat Tentang Pentingnya Vaksin dan Resiko Penularan COVID-19 ,sampel sebanyak 102 orang dengan rentang usia 17-45 Tahun. Menggunakan Add up to testing, pengumpulan information menggunakan Kuesioner melalui media Online Google shape dan diuji statistik menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil: Hasil yang didapatkan dari 102 responden pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya vaksin terbanyak pada kategori baik dengan 61 responden (59,8%) dengan uji statistik Chi square diperoleh p-value = 0,016 (p <0,05) yang berarti terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya vaksin dengan resiko penularan COVID-19.
