Virtual and blended learning are suggested as means to support students’ learning of the subject matter. The present study sought to examine how one educational tool for the classroom; specifically Google Classroom, was used by a teacher of automation and programming course in the secondary school. One secondary school teacher and her two students participated in the re-search. The data collection tools were interviews of two types: asking the participants semi-structured questions, and requesting the teacher to show how she used the Google Classroom options to engage her students in online learning. The transcribed interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis depending on the model of Information Systems Success by DeLone and McLean. The research results indicated that Google Classroom contributed to the quality of the learning of the students, which affected positively the teach-er’s and students’ satisfaction and intention to use this educational tool in the automation and programming class. The participants pointed at the benefits of using Google Classroom, which once again influenced positively the par-ticipants’ satisfaction and intention to use it for teaching and learning. The present study showed how a virtual classroom could be utilized in technolo-gy courses. The described phenomenon could give insights, not only to tech-nology teachers but to the teachers of other disciplines, how to utilize virtual and information systems in their teaching in order to enrich students’ learn-ing.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using Google Classroom in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The research sample was students of the Office Administration Education Study Program at the State University of Surabaya, batch 2017, 2018, and 2019, which means 95 people. The data was collected using a questionnaire, while the data analysis technique used a percentage. The results showed that Google Classroom was effectively applied in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The popularity of the Web and rapid developments in its tools have had a clear impact on the educational field. Many countries try to take benefit of the advantages provided by the Web like online learning programs. This paper shows the effectiveness of the Google Classroom platform as an alternative to material lectures on the campus during the application of quarantine considering the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This study was applied to the Iraqi public and private universities scattered in different regions of the country. The data was collected by sending an online questionnaire. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was adapted to examine the effectiveness of learning online activity. The number of answers was 1704, which were collected online from male and female college students. The student's difficulty in dealing with Google Classroom as an alternative to attending inside campus appears in the data analysis section, where the data of the statistical analysis of this study showed negative results in terms of Google Classroom subscales like the ease of use, perceived usefulness, communication, and interaction and perceive instruction delivery. On the other hand, some positive results appeared related to the student’s satisfaction in using Google Classroom. This finding indicates that Google classroom to be a difficult medium of use for students due to the universities and the lecturers in Iraq never uses such online programs in their studies.
