Anthropogenic activities contribute to heavy metals so that their concentration in the waters increases and causes accumulation, especially in streaked spinefoot. This study aims to estimate the level accumulation of (Hg, Cd, Pb, and Cu) heavy metals contained in streaked spinefoot (Siganus javus) meat in Bojonegara waters, Banten Bay, Indonesia. A sampling of 30 to 50 grams of fish meat is carried out every month from August to October 2020 and heavy metals analysis in streaked spinefoot meat was carried out in February 2021 using atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). The (Hg, Cd, and Pb) heavy metals contained in the streaked spinefoot meat were undetected by the AAS, while the content of heavy metal Cu on small fish is 0.348 to 1.530 mg kg-1, and large fish is less than 0.015 mg kg-1 to 5.390 mg kg-1. Bioaccumulation Cu metal in small and large streaked spinefoot included low to high accumulation, while it was low for other types of metal. The safe limit for consumption of streaked spinefoot meat for adults (50 kg) is 32.468 kg of meat/week, while for children (15 kg), it is 9.740 kg of meat/week.

Salah satu ekosistem pesisir yang dapat ditemukan di pesisir Pulau Bintan yaitu ekosistem lamun. Ikan baronang merupakan ikan ekonomis penting yang berasosiasi dengan padang lamun. Kondisi struktur ekosistem lamun yang berbeda di perairan pulau Bintan diduga dapat berpengaruh terhadap persebaran ikan baronang pada ekosistem lamun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kondisi tutupan lamun pada beberapa lokasi dan mendeskripsikan struktur populasi ikan baronang (Siganus sp) pada ekosistem lamun dengan tutupan berbeda di perairan pulau Bintan. Metode sampling tutupan lamun menggunakan transek kuadrat berukuran 50 x 50 cm dan sampling ikan baronang menggunakan jaring insang dasaran (bottom gill net). Diperoleh 8 jenis lamun yang tersebar di 4 stasiun penelitian. Tutupan lamun tertinggi terdapat di stasiun Pengudang dengan nilai 65,20% dengan kondisi kaya/padat. Terdapat 5 jenis ikan baronang. Jenis ikan baronang yang memiliki kelimpahan tertinggi yaitu Siganus canaliculatus. Tidak terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan untuk persebaran jenis ikan baronang pada lokasi penelitian One of the ecosystems that can be found on the coast of Bintan Island is the seagrass ecosystem. SIganus sp are economical fish associated with seagrass beds. The structure of the seagrass ecosystem is thought to have an effect on the distribution of Siganus sp in the seagrass ecosystem. This study aims to describe the condition of seagrass cover at several locations in the waters of Bintan Island and to describe the population structure of Siganus sp in seagrass ecosystems with different cover in the waters of Bintan Island. The seagrass cover sampling method used a quadratic transect measuring 50 x 50 cm and the Siganus sp fish sampling used a bottom gill net. Obtained 8 types of seagrass spread over 4 research stations. The highest seagrass cover was found at Pengudang station with a value of 65.20% with rich/dense conditions. There are 5 types of baronang fish. The type of baronang fish that has the highest abundance is Siganus canaliculatus. There is no significant difference for the distribution of baronang fish species at the study site.

This study aims to determine the relationship between length and weight and condition factors of Siganus lineatus around Kareko waters, Lembeh Strait. Sampling was carried out in March 2021 from fishermen's catch using net fishing gear. There were 31 individuals collected with a length range of 169.95-345.69 mm and a weight range of 94-939 grams. The relationship between length and weight of male (b= 0.3018), female (b= 0.3631) and total (b= 0.3287) showed a negative allometric growth pattern. Mean condition factors of the male, female and total were 0.106, 0.075, and 0.091, indicating that rabbitfish are in poor condition.Keywords: rabbitfish; allometric; fishermen.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan panjang berat dan faktor kondisi Siganus lineatus di perairan sekitar Kelurahan Kareko, Selat Lembeh. Pengambilan sampel sepanjang bulan Maret 2021 dari hasil tangkapan nelayan yang menggunakan alat tangkap jaring. Jumlah ikan yang terkumpul sebanyak 31 individu dengan kisaran panjang 169,95-345,69 mm dan berat 94-939 gram. Hubungan panjang berat ikan beronang jantan (b= 0,3018), betina (b= 0,3631) dan total (b= 0,3287) menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan alometrik negatif. Faktor kondisi rata-rata ikan beronang jantan, betina dan total yaitu 0,106, 0,075 dan 0,091, hal ini menunjukkan ikan beronang dalam kondisi kurang baik karena memiliki nilai kurang dari satu.Kata kunci : ikan beronang; alometrik; nelayan.
