The problem of pesticide poisoning is particularly acute among countries whose primary source of income is agriculture (India, China, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina etc.). About 3 million cases of intentional and unintentional pesticide poisoning are reported in the world annually, resulting in the death of more than 250000 people. In Ukraine, by 2020, more than 250 pesticide preparations containing active substances of the triazole class. Aim of the work. Hygienic assessment of the population risk after consumption of agricultural products grown with the application of triazole class-based fungicides. Materials and methods. We analyzed the resistance parameters of triazole fungicides (difenoconazole, prothioconazole, cyproconazole, and metconazole) and strobilurin (azoxystrobin) in various crops. To determine the content of active substances in crops, we used modern methods of high-performance liquid and gas chromatography. For the integral assessment of the hazard indicators was used, the indicators of the allowable daily intake, the half-life periods in plants and the average daily consumption of the product were evaluated. Research results. The risk assessment for the population, calculated according to the methodology showed that the risk values of triazoles were 0.0002-0.2239, strobilurins – 0.0002-0.0016, which does not exceed the acceptable (less than 1). Calculations carried out according to the method show that all studied compounds of triazoles class belong to the moderately hazardous when consuming treated products of rapeseed, soybean, sunflower, sugar beet and hazardous when consuming cereals; strobilurin - low hazard when consumed the most of the studied cultures. Differences in hazard classes are primarily due to differences in the behaviour of pesticides in different crops and the length of the vegetative season.

Annotation. The problem of risk assessment for the population and persons involved in the treatment of agricultural crops with plant protection products is relevant in many countries of the world. The aim of the study was hygienic regulation of the Milbenok insecticide based on a new compound of the active substances aversectin class milbemectin to reduce the potential occupational risk and population risk. The method of natural experiment was used, residual amounts of milbemectin were determined by the method of high-performance liquid chromatography. Statistical processing of the obtained results, mathematical modeling of the degradation of the milbemectin was performed using EU recommendations and MS Excel programs (2000) and IBM SPSS Statistics Base v.22. It was determined that the half-life (DT50) of milbemectin in the soil in Ukraine climate regions – 21.4±1.6 days, in agricultural crops (apples, grapes) – 11.8±0.6 days. Risk assessment of the population based on the possible daily intake of the pesticide with products, as well as the integral indicator of danger when consuming products grown treated by insecticide Milbenok showed that the risk is two level lower than the permissible level and is moderately dangerous. The working zone is relatively safe for workers when using the insecticide. The risk for persons involved in the application of the Milbenok on apple trees, considering the contamination of personal protective equipment, was acceptable. The MRL of milbemectin was substantiated in apples, grapes (berries) – 0.02 mg/kg, apples, grapes (juice) – 0.01 mg/kg, AAC in the soil – 0.2 mg/kg and the regulations for the safe using of the Milbenok (pre harvest interval and time of workers' exit to cultivated areas). The obtained results should be considered when deciding the need to control pesticide residues in food products and environmental objects.

Assessment of potential hazard for humans when eating apples and grapes treated with insecticide based on spiromesifen

Chemical plant protection products account for at least 3 % of all biosphere pollutants and are the most studied pollutants on our planet. A very significant potential risk to public health is the consumption of foodstuffs contaminated with residual quantities of pesticide compounds. The aim of the work was to assess the potential hazard to humans when eating apples and grapes treated with an insecticide based on spiromesifen. A stepwise study was used: the content of spiromesifen in apples and grapes was calculated; the risk to humans was assessed (comparing the values of the permissible daily intake of the compound with food products with the maximum possible daily intake); the integral hazard index of pesticide-contaminated products consumption was calculated and assessed. The results obtained for the determination of residual amounts of spiromesifen in apples and grapes made it possible to substantiate the value of its maximum allowable value – 0.02 mg/kg; apple and grape juices – 0.01 mg/kg. It was found that the actual intake of spiromesifen with apples and grapes can be 0.0065 mg, and this does not exceed 0.5% of the permissible daily intake, or 0.7% of the estimated permissible amount of spiromesifen that can be consumed with food. According to the value of the integral index of hazard in contaminated food consumption (6 points) spiromesifen belongs to class 3 – moderately dangerous to humans. It has been established that substantiated standards for spiromesifen make it possible to ensure the safety of consumption of grapes and apples grown with the Oberon Rapid 240 SC application, as well as the use of other pesticide formulations based on this substance on other crops.
