“…In this study, based on the result predicted by bioinformatics analysis that NRP1 has stable binding sites with miR-653-5p and miR-338-3p, NRP1 was selected as the common downstream target gene, and the result proved miR-653-5p and miR-338-3p mimics downregulated NRP1 expression, further confirmed this prediction. Although the study of NRP1 in GC remained limited, it was reported that the high expression of NRP1 due to hypomethylation was co-expressed with PDGFRB and was significantly correlated with tumor malignant phenotypes with poor prognosis (48). Similarly, we also found that NRP1-KD restrained the migration and invasion capability of HRGC cells, and NRP1 was involved in circHIPK3 promotion of HRGC metastasis by the sponging with miR-653-5p and miR-338-3p, suggesting the metastatic promotion role of NRP1 in GC under a long-term hypoxic microenvironment.…”

“…The 43 genes with similar expression patterns are likely to have related functions in the aggressive growth and metastasis of cancers (64). In the PPI network, the genes of AEBP1, MMP14, OLFML2B, PDGFRB, SERPINE1, SPARC, SFRP2, COL1A2, COL6A3, THBS2, COL5A2, COL11A1, FAP, MXRA5 and THY1 were upregulated in solid cancer tissues, and significantly associated with the overall survival of patients with cancer (74)(75)(76)(77)(78)(79)(80)(81)(82). Some genes in the PPI network, including AEBP1, OLFML2B, PDGFRB, SERPINE1, COL1A2, COL6A3, and THBS2 have been reported to be associated with metastasis, invasion and migration in cancer cells (74,76,80,83,84).…”

“…Recent studies highlight that RAI14 was up-regulated in gastric cancer associated with the patient's prognosis and RAI14 knockdown by siRNA interference reduced proliferation and migration, promoted apoptosis through inhibiting the activation of Akt signaling pathway in gastric cancer [34,35]. Wang et al [36] proved that NRP1 was a hypomethylated-upregulated gene in GC patients, which was significantly correlated with tumor malignant phenotypes. The expression level of NRP1 was significantly associated with the overall survival of GC patients.…”
