While the academic interest in the research on the intersection of culture and social networks is increasing (Wenninger et al , 2019a; Ahn et al , 2018; Yau et al , 2019; Hu et al , 2020), there are several “unique opportunities and contextualized benefits in conducting cross-cultural analysis in SNS [social network services]” (Guo et al , 2020, p. 3).
