Interaction of Anticorruption Agencies in Ukraine During the Investigation of Criminal Proceedings

Abstract

Anticorruption activities are an important part of ensuring the statepolicy and raising public confidence in state bodies. The issue of theinteraction of anti-corruption bodies in criminal proceedings is an importantaspect of the functioning of the proper units and, in the future, a full, prompt,comprehensive and impartial pretrial investigation; gathering of evidence(preserving their legal properties), their proper attachment and bringing theperpetrators to criminal liability for corruption offenses (crimes).The paper deals with the issue of establishing close cooperation betweenanticorruption bodies of Ukraine during the investigation of criminal offenses(offenses) of corruption. The influence and role of each body participatingin the pretrial investigation and trial are assessed. The problem of proof ateach stage of investigation and judicial examination is revealed, and featuresof the collection, fixation, use and evaluation of evidence are described. Itis established that under the condition of cooperation, the restoration ofhuman rights and freedoms, states in criminal proceedings and bringing theperpetrators to criminal responsibility is possible.The identification of problems in establishing an interaction betweenanticorruption agency is at the forefront of the attention of numerousresearchers and practitioners. That is why, in order to solve the problems ofthe research, there is a need to review the issue, which will help determinethe direction for further study of the role of interaction during the pretrialinvestigation and judicial review of criminal proceedings of a corrupt nature.The result of the study is the formation of an understanding of themechanism of interaction between anticorruption authorities in theinvestigation of criminal proceedings and the introduction of methods inpractical activities.
