This article aims to explore the construction of knowledge society-based PAI learning models in Islamic Religious Colleges (PTKI). This article was compiled based on qualitative research with a case study type. The locus of this research is UIN SATU Tulungagung and IAIN Kediri. Data collection methods used by researchers are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive-analysis and content analysis. The flow used in interpreting this research is a qualitative data analysis technique with an interactive model proposed by Miles-Huberman, including the stages of data collection, reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This article concludes that the competence of lecturers in the use of IT and the various competencies of students are still the biggest obstacles faced by UIN SATU Tulungagung and IAIN Kediri in implementing knowledge society-based PAI learning. In addition, the academic culture on both campuses has not run optimally. The two campuses have the same construction of the knowledge society-based Islamic education learning model, especially in terms of enforcing academic freedom in the lecture process, routinely discussing Islamic religious education lecturers to equalize perceptions in providing inclusive PAI material within the moderation frame, and optimizing the use of IT for Islamic Islamic education lectures. What makes the difference is that UIN SATU Tulungagung implements knowledge society-based PAI learning by applying a collaborative learning model to the lecture process. Meanwhile, IAIN Kediri focuses on implementing the cooperative learning model to optimize PAI learning in the classroom.

The Role of Video Calls as Facilitators in Pai Student Thesis Sessions

Video calls are the best way to be an easy facilitator in conducting thesis trials. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of video calls as a facilitator in a thesis trial. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Technical data collection using interviews, documentation, and observation. Data were analyzed using reduction, presentation, and conclusion techniques. The subjects of this study were students of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This research is located at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training IAIN Salatiga. The results of this study indicate that video calls provide a role as a facilitator in providing services and replace the role of offline thesis hearings. This research implies that during the pandemic, the thesis trial can still be done online using video calls so that the academic calendar can still run.

Penyebaran virus Covid-19 masih terus berlangsung sehingga pembelajaran jarak jauh masih tetap diberlakukan. Salah satu metode yang diterapkan di berbagai perguruan tinggi yaitu Video Conference. Selama menggunakan Video Conference, terdapat berbagai persoalan yang dinilai tidak efektif dalam segi kualitas pemahaman materi, dimana banyak mahasiswa yang merasa bosan selama pembelajaran berlangsung, serta proses pembelajaran yang tidak interaktif karena kurangnya interaksi antara pendidik dengan peserta didik, sehingga mengakibatkan rendahnya tingkat pemahaman pada mahasiswa. Dalam upaya menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang optimal dibutuhkan metode yang tidak membosankan, terdapat interaktivitas yang baik, serta dapat meningkatkan pemahaman. Maka dari itu, penulis tertarik untuk mengembangkan penelitian mengenai efektivitas penggunaan kuis interaktif berbasis Video Conference terhadap pemahaman materi pada mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dengan kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Subjek penelitiannya yaitu mahasiswa Program Studi Teknologi Pendidikan angkatan 2020 sebanyak 31 sampel, dan peneliti menggunakan teknik uji analisis korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh yakni sebesar 0,482 yang terkategori cukup kuat. Angka tersebut menunjukan terdapat pengaruh antara penggunaan kuis interaktif berbasis Video Conference terhadap pemahaman materi pada mahasiswa. Kuis interaktif dinilai sebagai metode pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, menarik dan mempermudah dalam menyampaikan materi, sehingga metode ini sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman pada mahasiswa.
