The flexibility in implementing a curriculum adapting to the learning conditions and needs is one of the efforts undertaken by the Indonesian government to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This curriculum is referred to as the 'Emergency Curriculum', which is a simplification of the national curriculum. This current study delineates an overview of the preparation and the lessons taught during the implementation of the emergency curriculum due to the pandemic. This case study was carried out at SDN Wonotingal Semarang in the academic year 2020/2021. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation which validated data triangulation. This study indicates that the implementation of the emergency curriculum was a solution to the education unit's lack of preparedness to tackle the pandemic. The curriculum structure is created by taking into account a range of factors as guidelines in schools. Flexible learning is the answer to the challenges that may arise during an emergency. Life skills education becomes an alternate achievement that students must acquire in the new normal. To sum up, this study offers an alternate perspective on curriculum development and learning during the pandemic, particularly in elementary schools.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to evaluate the accounting curriculum in implementing the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Curriculum. It is qualitative research with an interpretive paradigm of the phenomenology approach. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. The study revealed that the learning process's characteristics, planning, and implementation had been going well. Curriculum accountability is realized by preparing reports and outreach to the academic community and stakeholders. This research theoretically contributes in the form of references to implementing the MBKM accounting curriculum associated with accountability. Practically, this research contributes to the formation of accounting curriculum designs and inputs to universities in maximizing their role in keeping up with the times in responding to the provision of work-ready graduates.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi kurikulum akuntansi dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan paradigma interpretif pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, pengamatan, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa karakteristik, perencanaan, dan pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran sudah berjalan baik. Akuntabilitas kurikulum diwujudkan dengan penyusunan laporan dan sosialisasi kepada civitas akademika dan stakeholder. Penelitian ini secara teoretis memberikan kontribusi berupa referensi implementasi kurikulum akuntansi MBKM yang dikaitkan dengan akuntabilitas. Secara praktis, penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam pembentukan desain kurikulum akuntansi serta masukan kepada perguruan tinggi dalam memaksimalkan perannya mengikuti perkembangan zaman dalam menyikapi penyediaan lulusan siap kerja.

As of April 2022, various countries around the world have shown their success in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic, including Indonesia. One of the COVID-19 mitigation policies in Indonesia is the involvement of students as COVID-19 ambassadors through a program called Kampus Mengajar, which carries 12 credits. However, the COVID-19 ambassador experienced academic injustice because the participating study programs and faculties did not recognize the program. The purpose of this research is to analyze the recognition of COVID-19 ambassadors who participate in the program. This research uses a case study-type qualitative research. The research setting is Universitas Ahmad Dahlan involving 70 students of the program and seven heads of faculties and study programs. Observation and in-depth interviews were administered with the head of the faculty and study programs. The results showed that study programs and faculties at universities could only recognize the activities of COVID-19 ambassador students in the program that have relevance to certain subjects. Thus, the higher education unit bureaucracy has lost its human dimension and is unfair to the student ambassadors of COVID-19. The implications of the findings of this study become a scathing critique of the fading of human values in higher education.
