False interpretations of sex make sex education less prioritized by parents in educating their children. This condition is considered as the cause of increased child abuse, violence, and sex crimes. This research aims to reveal the social construction of parents’ sexual education Bugis-Makassar families. The research used a qualitative approach with the paradigm of constructivism. The analysis model was conducted through the interpretation and understanding of data collected through interviews and observations. The informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique with the informants' criteria were the parents in Bugis-Makassar families and have children between the ages of 13-25 years old and also live in the city of Makassar. Data verification was conducted through the persistence of observation and triangulation of time. The data obtained were analyzed through three stages, which consist of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed different construction of each parent according to the level of information and experience they had. Construction occurs simultaneously in three stages, which consist of externalization, objectification, and internalization. The most prominent stage is the objectification stage, which then forms four constructions, which consist of 1) sexual education is teaching about genitals; 2) teaching of sexual intercourse procedures; 3) the distinction of male and female roles, and; 4) the process of teaching manners to associate with the opposite gender. In its implementation, the internalization stage is not maximal due to parental experience, false understanding of sex, fear of parents, child misinterpret the information provided, and lack of knowledge about sexual education.

This study describes the implementation of the parenting program and looks at the changes in the character of students after the implementation of the parenting program at SD Negeri 6 Bireuen. Researchers used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants consisted of school officials, teachers, parents, school committees, and students. The results showed that the parenting program implemented at SD Negeri 6 Bireuen was running well by involving a socialization scheme, namely externalization, objectivation, and internalization of values and norms in the context of building student character. Changes in children's character are marked by changes in their daily attitudes that have become a habit. The values of character education that have been successfully implemented include religious values, discipline, responsibility, love for the environment, and honesty. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menggambarkan pelaksanaan pola parenting dan melihat sejauh mana perubahan karakter siswa setelah penerapan program parenting di SD Negeri 6 Kabupaten Bireuen. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri atas pejabat sekolah, guru, orang tua, komite sekolah, dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program parenting yang dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 6 Bireuen berjalan baik dengan melibatkan skema sosialisasi yaitu eksternalisasi, obyektivasi, dan internalisasi nilai dan norma dalam rangka pembentukan karakter siswa. Perubahan karakter pada anak ditandai dengan perubahan sikap sehari-hari yang mulai menjadi suatu kebiasaan. Adapun nilai pendidikan karakter yang berhasil diterapkan diantaranya nilai religius, disiplin, tanggung jawab, cinta lingkungan, dan kejujuran.

Creativity of an advertisement in building public perception is something that ad producers often do to promote their products or services to attract many interested people. However, contemporary advertising production began to experience a shift. In the past, advertisements generally used the hard selling method; but now they have changed to soft selling, which do not to introduce or sell their products directly. Contemporary advertising often represent audiences and things that are close to daily life, for example Gojek "Cerdikiawan" #pastiadajalan advertising. Thus, this research is interested in studying that advertisement. We tried to peel one by one of the signs that exist in Gojek "Cerdikiawan". The method used is qualitative with Roland Barthes' semiotics analysis. This study aims to determine the representation of optimism in advertising and identify the meanings of denotation, connotation, and myth displayed by Gojek "Cerdikiawan". The discussion of this research includes visible visual elements and also the narrative voice of the advertisement. This study conclude that the meaning of denotation and connotation gives rise to a perception which is an ideology that ad producers want to display. Ideology contained in this advertisement is the optimism, which is shown in each scene. It is a representation of all groups of people and their daily lives which are full of challenges. The ad also represents that every problem can definitely be solved in a way that might not be thought of, with creative ideas, and with an optimistic attitude of the people. Gojek "Cerdikiawan" is an advertising in the form of soft selling with a fairly long duration packed with interesting stories.
