In the system of higher education, distance learning through the e-learning courses is becoming the most relevant and widely demanded learning mode over the past decade. This article assesses the introduction of distance-learning principles into the university teaching and learning process in terms of quality. The experiment involved 1.250 students learning at the Kazan Federal University. The survey helped to identify the main barriers to the effective implementation of modern distance learning technologies in the university teaching and learning process: non-readiness of teachers and parents, the lack of necessary skills of applying the computer-based online learning systems, inability to interact with the faculty and teachers, the lack of sufficient academic advisors online. In addition, this article investigates the internal problems: limited resources, unevenly distributed marketing advantages, inappropriate administrative structure and the lack of innovative physical facilities. The paper allows sorting out the indicated problems through the stepwise introduction of a distance learning model that fits any university, regardless of its specialization.

Despite the many benefits of virtual distance learning (online), in its course distance education still has many problems. Educators and managers try to continue to improve the quality of teaching and the struggle of online class facilitators to improve the quality of distance education, but it is discovered that online class data is not the student's first choice. The results show that one of the problems in online education comes from the drop out / failure rate of students which is more common in virtual classrooms compared to traditional classes. Other studies reveal several factors such as the time needed to complete the module, lack of understanding of the context in the subject matter, problems with software accessibility, availability of reliable teachers, lack of support from the government and other reasons can create a decrease in motivation and a less conducive learning atmosphere.Abstrak : Meskipun banyak keutamaan m anfaat dari pembelajaran jarak jauh secara virtual (online), di dalam perjalanannya pendidikan jarak jauh masih memiliki banyak masalah. Para pendidik dan pengelola b erusaha untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan perjuangan fasilitator kelas online untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan jarak jauh, tetapi didapatkan fakta data kelas online bukanlah pilihan pertama pelajar. Hasil pen elitian menunjukkan bahwa salah satu masalah dalam pendidikan online berasal d ari tingkat drop out/kegagalan siswa yang lebih ban yak terjadi d alam kelas virtual dibandingkan dengan kelas tradisional. Studi lainnya mengungkapkan beberapa faktor seperti waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk menyelesaikan modul, kurangnya pemahaman konteks dalam materi pelajaran, masalah dengan aksesibilitas software, ketersediaan guru yang handal, kurangnya dukungan dari pemerintah dan alasan lainnya dapat men ciptakan penurunan motivasi dan atmosfer belajar yang kurang kondusif. Kata kunci : Online, Jarak Jauh, Pendidikan, Kegagalan. PendahuluanPendidikan formal jarak jauh telah dipelajari oleh banyak peneliti dari berbagai sudut pandang, terutama dari sudut pandang pedagogis. For distance learners, continuous official education is very important for improving knowledge and learning experience in order to meet the career challenges in the modern world. This work studies the success factors which affect the use of LMS and evaluates the ability to apply the proposed model in the field of distance learning (DL) particularly in higher education. The survey was carried out on higher education learners who were included in the DL instructions. This work has utilized a questionnaire that was modified from literature to inspect three measurements, system design, system usage, and system outcome. Utilizing the obtained survey data for students of DL (N=149), the path analysis discovered that the design of the system has a significant effect on the satisfaction of users and intention for using LMS which affects the use of the system. Consequently, the satisfaction of users and the system used has a great impact on the net benefit.
