Abstrak penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor geografis apa saja yang mendukung pengembangan objek wisata Puncak Meranti. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara dan menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui faktor geografis yang berperan sangat mendukung dalam pengembangan obyek wisata Puncak Meranti meliputi vegetasi, material batuan, infrastruktur dan aksesibilitas karena kriteria penentuan kelasnya sangat mendukung. Faktor geografis yang mendukung dalam pengembangan objek wisata alam Puncak Meranti adalah suhu, kualitas air, daya tarik, dan fasilitas karena kriteria penentuan kelasnya mendukung. Sedangkan faktor geogarafis yang kurang mendukung dalam pengembangan objek wisata yaitu kemiringan lereng dan bentuk lahan. Berdasarkan kesimpulan tersebut maka objek wisata alam Puncak Meranti ditinjau dari faktor geografisnya mendukung untuk dikembangkan sebagai objek wisata alam dengan memperhatikan kondisi kemiringan dan bentuk lahan dari objek wisata tersebut.

The rural tourist attraction of Malangan, Sumberayu Moyudan, is one of the tourist rural destination in the Yogyakarta Regency which is also affected by the rampant development of rural-based tourism products. Although this tourist village has received special interest from tourists, it does not mean that every tourist village can survive and present tourism products that can continue to attract tourists to come. In that case, strategic action is needed in destination destinations, such as observations, observing all aspects related to destination sustainability. This is due to the increasing number of tourist villages in an area, there will be many competitors or competitors, as a result, there will be fierce competition or even unhealthy competition between tourism village managers. This research was conducted to answer the challenge of the importance of management that is right on target at the destination, while still paying attention to the principles of the existence of a tourist village built using a SWOT analysis. The result of this research is to present a destination management strategy based on an analysis of external and internal factors, which includes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of each category.

South Malang has various coastal tourism areas. However, there is no insight to develop these beaches through the concept of edutourism. This study aims to describe the geographical conditions and potency of Sendang Biru Beach to be developed as a marine edutourism field. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by perusing documents, books, journals and online news carefully, and in-depth interviews with stakeholders. The results of this study indicates that Sendang Biru Beach can be developed as a marine edutourism site, because this area has a lot of maritime potential such as diverse marine animals and a pretty good beach environment. However, to achieve that, it needed support from the government, local residents and tourists. They must support the marine edutourism on the developing coastal areas.
