Permintaan merupakan informasi awal untuk melakukan perencanaan produksi, perencanaan kebutuhan material, perencanaan persediaan, dll. Salah satu industri yang membutuhkan peramalan permintaan adalah PT. ABC. Salah satu produk yang dijual oleh PT. ABC adalah refill gas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meramalkan permintaan gas dengan exponential smoothing dan mencari metode peramalan exponential smoothing yang paling akurat, untuk selanjutnya metode tersebut dapat digunakan oleh PT. ABC. Data yang digunakan adalah data penjualan refill gas PT. ABC tahun 2018 – 2021. Beberapa metode peramalan Exponential Smoothing digunakan untuk meramalkan permintaan. Metode peramalan dengan tingkat error terkecil adalah metode Single Exponential Smoothing sehingga metode tersebut yang dipilih. Parameter Single Exponential Smoothing yang digunakan yaitu sebesar 0,633071. Hasil peramalan tersebut memiliki tingkat error 11 (MAPE) dan 7269 (MAD). Hasil peramalan menunjukkan bahwa permintaan terhadap produk refill gas untuk periode ke-49 sebanyak 48420,8 unit atau 48421 unit. Sebagai tambahan, error dari metode exponential smoothing with trend memiliki nilai yang berdekatan dengan metode single exponential smoothing. Hal tersebut menguatkan indikasi bahwa terdapat kecenderungan adanya tren pada data penjualan refill gas PT. ABC.

Tea is the most widely consumed and traded commodity worldwide, even serving as a livelihood for farmers in various countries. However, the tea industry needs to innovate in facing increasingly urgent environmental challenges, particularly related to the use of papersacks in addressing the potential stockpiling of inventory. This research provides a foundation for minimizing negative impacts on the environment, with a focus on reducing the excessive use of papersacks due to stockpiling. In line with environmental awareness, the study shows that more accurate forecasting can help companies plan production more efficiently, avoiding overproduction, and reducing the ecological impact of papersack usage. Thus, the research’s goal is to promote sustainability in tea production by reducing the excessive use of papersacks through improved planning.

Determining the class quota at each period of filling out the KRS (Study Plan Card) at the beginning of the semester is often an activity that cannot be determined easily. This is due to several important factors in it, one of the most influential and difficult things is the uncertainty when determining the quota for the number of students who will take the course in question, if later there is an error in predicting the number of students who will take the course, then the class quota that is prepared will certainly be less so that it leads to the disruption of the ongoing Student KRS registration process. The method used in this study is forecasting using trend analysis which aims to determine how much capacity or inventory is needed for decision-making, then a system will be designed that can be used to predict the number of forecasting quotas for courses that will be provided. The system design applies the system development method with UML. The stages of the process are carried out from collecting and processing subject offer quota data several previous academic years. Research has succeeded in building a model to make predictions using the Trend Analysis method, so that it can be used as a recommendation for the number of quotas offered for the next academic year.
